Looking for any reviews of patent leather shoes for the long term. I’m considering a pair of patent loafers but not sure how this leather stands up overtime. I’ve heard some of parent bags peeling and wasn’t sure if anyone has dealt with that with shoes.

Actually I went to the boutique today and got my reply !
I have been sold the B width and not the C … so it’s tighter. Will go to the shoe maker to have them widen then !
thank you for posting this! It never occurred to me and boy do I have plenty of shoes that need to be widened!! First thing next week they are going to show guy! I hope they can widen love lovely but very uncomfortable shoes I have.

I have had patent shoes, and here are my thoughts to share...

I feel patent gets dated looking fast once the season has past. It can be in style for one season, and then after that season, patent to me, tends to be too "shiny" and for my taste. I feel it can look a bit plastic cheap to me.

I've had patent shoes (e.g. pumps, ballets, loafers), and sad to say, I've gotten rid of them after only a few seasons. Hence, for me, I told myself no more patent shoes. I'm being honest here to help you decide especially since you are considering loafers and not pumps, which patent pumps one could argue has more longevity in terms of style.

On peeling, none of my past patent shoes peeled. Hence, if you love the patent look, which many people do, and are only worried about the leather, I think you will be fine. When I wore them, I wore them a lot without any issue (other than they are a bit stiff). To be fair though, I've only ever kept my patent shoes for maybe 2 years, max, so I don't know about patent durability for an extended period.

I had a pair of black ballerinas for years, and never had an issue with peeling.

I believe next season will have ivory and black ballet flats. I’m curious as to how these will compare with the white and black lambskin ballet flats - does anyone have both and can share their thoughts?

The 23K pink ballerinas… the perfect baby pink and nude blush toecap
Love them!!
I’m thinking about the coral pink with black toecap but I don’t like warm toned pinks

I got my pair today, too!!! They are my first ballets from Chanel and I’m hooked. I’m eyeing the burgundy with black toecap but haven’t been able to find my size or the boutique didn’t order them.

I tried these boots on today and need to tell someone about it lol

I can’t really justify the purchase, I live in Southern California and would only wear them a few months of the year. Also not sure which of my pants they would work with, I mostly wear cropped ankle jeans these days. But I love them SO MUCH.

Chanel combat boots are on my list this year. My BFF wears here a lot! She wears them nearly year round here in TX, she pairs them with cute dresses a lot
