Public sales, yes. But starting today they are able to check inventory, take photos, and share RTW photos with selected clients, and they can make purchases now.

FYI this is from one of the boutiques in nyc

Lots of sale pieces for RTW and shoes but they sale doesn’t officially start till the 9th. The past year or so chanel started being weird about the sale and only allowing old collections (a year or so) make it to the sale. So the sizing is hit or miss so you are prepared. So far, SAKS, neiman and BG and Nordies are confirmed for the chanel sale

gotcha - this was from a SA in NYC, I'm clearly just not important enough haha.
