YAY! I adore brunello and totally understand the joy! (Even though DH is the primary VIP shopper there, not me) IMO it’s not entirely OT bc brunello pants (I buy every pair that fits my body type) go with every chanel top and jacket in ones closet. Which is essential bc chanel pants make me look as wide as I am tall.

You should start a brunello thread! IMO there should be a forum!

i will never be a VIP at chanel; I’ll never be invited to Paris or probably even see the fifth floor ? where the chanel VIP suites are. I’m fine with that bc I’ll never spend remotely what is chanel VIP requisite. I adore my chanel SA who gave me great service from the start. . . .bc I was a referral from one of her IRL dear friends who works at. . . brunello. But, BC VIP client service for DH has been amazing and beyond (closet arranging, private shopping at corporate, complimentary meals, BCs fav chocolates and wine, BC olive oil, books). BC welcomes us into the store and is not just friendly; we’ve become friends. There is such genuine warmth there. They’ve asked to arrange a solomeo day, but we’re not entirely sure the Schedule will work. But we’re really trying! we’ve heard all about how brunello saved the town; the project for beauty and human dignity https://thehelmclothing.com/blogs/our-thoughts/exploring-solomeo

by the way, that’s how I feel at BC. Even if they have an event, and you happen to go there, they will still welcome you. Bc they are very nice. And, we love the clothes, but the people are why we go back and shop. (To be fair, we’ve also been treated very very well at Dior, even initially as walk ins, without VIP spend). Dont think Chanel or Hermes share that kind of corporate ethos, but that’s JMO

I have never seen much interest in BC on this forum. Only a few mentions. now and then. What store do you usually go to? I found the turnover in the Chicago store, which admittedly I didn't to go often, quite high. I usually shopped at Neiman Marcus because their sales are better and their return policy is good. My SA would find stuff for me. I alway felt like you had to be a huge spender to get that in the store.

In terms of getting product, in my experience, the BC flagship Madison is not too different from Chanel 57 where I shop. You can get what you want if you don’t mind waiting, but you will be top of mind with everyone from the manager to the other SA’s, if you are a certain type of customer. I think regularity matters as much as spend, but DH buys a lot. @TankerToad mentioned her DH literally loves to shop more than she does. mine is the same way. My DH introduced me to chanel in 2001. Before that, in 1994, issey miyake; then ntroduced me to Prada. Then Dolce. Then to YSL ( bc our dolce SA moved) then to Akris (ditto); Gucci ( ditto); dunhill; etro; borelli; now BC and Dior etc etc. (all of these Madison stores were maximum 5-10 minutes walking distance. Now, 15. I havent shopped department stores like Bergdorfs (my mom was a BG regular) since HS, bc DH hates department stores and grocers.

BC is also like chanel in a hunger games kind of way; sometimes your SA might need to almost call dibs for your client immediately and then hustle it off. But, in return, our usual MO is to have stuff tailored, we don’t return, and we shop exclusively from our SA. there s simply no need to return if your SA and your DH literally won’t let you buy something that’s not great fit and useful. And, honestly, i have to confess, if my SA left to go to another brand, I’d follow them and simply add a new brand to the wardrobe. At the end of the day, it’s just stuff, but your SA curates and knows your closet, your body type, your lifestyle. . . I hate looking at lookbooks. Half that stuff won’t fit on me, so it’s depressing Lol. So if I see something on this thread, my chanel SA will look and say, yes, lets get it in for you to try, or honestly no, it will look like crap; this other thing would work on you. But both chanel and BC say that what they love is I will try anything they recommend (I mean within reason; like, not a ball gown). So they kind of have incentive to hunt stuff down that they think will be perfect. Sometimes DH and SA are like, buy this, and Im like WTH, and it turns out to be my favorite

apologies for the lengthy answer

It’s so jarring, it must be deliberate? Ah, apologies. I just saw @gracekelly made this point
@TankerToad, these are the Dior pants I got; did you get the same ones? The Hermes ones for prefall were not as full and structured and somehow had more flowing lines (both are good, just different)

by the way, someone told me that the younger demographic doesn’t want to look slim Bc they don’t want to be constrained by this narrow notion of beauty? Im still not sure that I can wrap my head around that. but when I see the really voluminous chanel pants and jackets stuffed into pants (deliberately creating a thicker waist) i think that fashion houses really aren’t catering to those with my (wanting to look slimmer) concerns anymore Lol

edit: @TankerToad, thanks so much for your post below. These ones are cropped, but somehow aren’t like an arrow emphasizing ones backside. They’re like magic pants. And i forget how much, but far cheaper than chanel. (It’s almost ridiculous to call them cheap though) I’ll rummage up a full length pic — here with a striped jacket, the pants are almost like gauchos or long culottes. Jay Kos striped jacket; synthetic cropped 21p chanel tie cardigan; decade old+ moto boots from Warren Edwards (long after he split from SusanBennisWsrrenEdwards); and, a medor H belt from H private day sample sale maybe 2010? (when the sample sale still had leather bags)
Love your top in the left pic

They took her picture next to the toilet paper too, lol. She should have patroned a bodega, that way she could have at least been photographed by lottery tickets scratchers in Chanel and not toilette paper and Chanel. Lol, celebrities always call the paparazzi to be photographed , this is not impromptu, none of it is, is it? View attachment 5167711

The dear woman behind Rihanna. Her 'look' disturbs me more that RiRi's - ball cap, ill fitting distressed jeans, a tee and a monogram Gucci bag all at once . Just no. Maybe loose the ball cap? I personally don't think they should be worn unless one is playing a sport. (RiRi that goes for you too) JMHO. I digress..... back to topic
