I agree, it very cute. Any more info on this one?

I actually bought both of these denim jackets! TBH they are a very similar cut overall (fit & pockets especially). The differences in the second are: peter pan collar, the print/color, extra puff/dropped shoulder on the shoulder, and the hardware. But the Arts & Metiers one is ~15% more expensive, even though it's just two collections later and pretty identical otherwise ($4100 vs $3550).

The light blue is a 42 and the black is a 40. Both 40 and 42 fit about the same, the fit is boxy :) I think I tried the black on in a 38 and it was fine too, but 40 will allow me to wear thicker clothes inside.

I loved the first jacket so much I tried this second one on for fun. I kind of regretted it right afterwards bc the were so similar... but surprisingly I've been wearing both equally and don't find them that similar anymore when putting together outfits (mostly because of the color). If I had to pick one though it would be the blue one since the black's collar is more cutesy and harder to pair. But now I'm happy to have both :)

Excuse my Canadian tuxedo bc it's just whatever I had on and threw on the jacket to reply to your posts!

The black one looks much longer than the blue.

Another inspiring Insta post- been intrigued by this jacket
I saw this pic and was going to the boutique, so I tried on a 34. Since I’m a 40 jacket and I could easily get in on with a bit of room, I’d say it runs large. I could see SA and DH holding back a grimace, and needless to say they did not like it on my body type. I’m kind of chunky and it bisected me the wrong way. but I was sad, because I really really liked it.

a few weeks ago I tried on a cardigan sweater I loved with silvery embellishments. It was 5800 usd. i asked my SA if there was a plain version, which she hunted up for me. It’s perfect, so it came home. I also tried on (backwards) the pullover with kidnapping logo and buttons down the back. The 34 was all they had, and though I balked. my SA said I should try it on.

pics:
1. the plain cardigan version that I ended up getting 4200 USD, size 40
2. the kidnapping sweater worn backwards in size 34; and,
3. The tags for the kidnapping sweater;
4. The embellished version of the first sweater that I rejected a few weeks ago.

5. an outfit (from my own closet) that I wore earlier last week: a calf hair skirt that I bought from the 57th st boutique in 2001c (though twenty years ago I could take it off without unbuttoning the gold buttons); a short sleeved sweater from last season; 35 Victoria, and a wolford top. (The calf hair skirt was 600 USD at 60% sale in 2001, lol)

I really like the cardigan you bought! I only got to try the matching leggings, but they were so SOFT! The kidnap sweater is cute but the one you ended up with is much more special. Lovely outfit too, makes me want the short sleeve floral I posted earlier but left behind.

I think everything looked great on you! Your choice was perfect! The outfit is really cute too! Would you mind posting the tag for the cardie you bought?

Thank you for your kind words, @gracekelly and @m_ichele! DH, my SA, and I all felt that the cardigan would serve the function of a cuter, softer jacket; I know I will wear it to death. 4200 USD

@m_ichele, I tried on the floral short sleev sweater too, but I think it looked much better on you (I decided not to take a pic of it on me for a reason lol) I hope you get it; I think it’s super versatile.

@gracekelly, here is the tag of the cardigan HTH

Apologies for the big pic. I had a hard time seeing the numbers on the thumbnail, but the full image is huge and I’m not sure how to make it smaller

You're right! - I never noticed. They're both a cropped, boxy fit overall so I thought they were the same length!
The blue is 17" from top of front collar to bottom and 19" from top of back collar to bottom. The black one is 18" from top of front collar to bottom and 20" from top of back collar to bottom.

So about 1" longer overall! But I can could see if they were the same size the difference might be slightly more different (although probably not too different).
