I saw this pic and was going to the boutique, so I tried on a 34. Since I’m a 40 jacket and I could easily get in on with a bit of room, I’d say it runs large. I could see SA and DH holding back a grimace, and needless to say they did not like it on my body type. I’m kind of chunky and it bisected me the wrong way. but I was sad, because I really really liked it.
a few weeks ago I tried on a cardigan sweater I loved with silvery embellishments. It was 5800 usd. i asked my SA if there was a plain version, which she hunted up for me. It’s perfect, so it came home. I also tried on (backwards) the pullover with kidnapping logo and buttons down the back. The 34 was all they had, and though I balked. my SA said I should try it on.
pics:
1. the sweater I ended up getting;
2. the kidnapping sweater worn backwards in size 34; and,
3. The tags for the kidnapping sweater;
4. The embellished version of the first sweater that I rejected a few weeks ago.
5. an outfit (from my own closet) that I wore earlier last week: a calf hair skirt that I bought from the 57th st boutique in 2001c (though twenty years ago I could take it off without unbuttoning the gold buttons); a short sleeved sweater from last season; 35 Victoria, and a wolford top.
