I love all these dresses and skirts that you gals wear...Since I retired i haven't worn either and I really miss them. But, since my life is so casual I have to settle for the beautiful jackets with pants. Now if the weather would get a bit cooler I can wear those jackets.........keep the photos coming, you guys wear everything beautifully.

I was thinking about your comments about meeting that Chanel SA who worked there many years ago. My experience isn't very different from what she describes. I only shop at my local boutique which is incredibly luxurious or at rue cambon. I go in and have a cup of tea and sit with my SA or manager to review the iPad lookbook in advance and reserve what I think might be interesting. It's all very relaxed and it's like sitting in coco's living room. I haven't shopped at the department stores or chased the sale items. My few brief experiences there didn't seem luxurious. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out by not doing so and not getting more on sale but I like the luxurious feeling that I have when I shop at the boutique. I'm usually very frugal and like to save money where I can but I'd rather not give up that sense of luxury and comfort.

I agree that you can lose something in translation w shopping at the department stores. I've been to the boutique in Vegas and that was a fun experience.

There is obviously a vast difference in Chanel boutiques, as the NY (especially Soho) do not offer any "luxurious experience." My local NM and Saks are way more accommodating in that regard. A pleasant experience is enough for me. I am not interested in the hype.
