I've recently become obsessed with a 224 Reissue in Black and Gold. Has anyone actually seen this lately? Is Chanel still making this at all?
From what I have been able to determine it is a seasonal bag and unlike the rectangular mini it is not released every season. The last one I know of being released in that size was a lucky charms version. I have been trying to track one down for two years but I’m looking for shw or rhw. My SA did tell me he thought a velvet one was going to be released in an upcoming collection but I didn’t ask any details as I’m not interested in velvet.
Yeah I figured as much. I remember the lucky charms. Ugh this is gonna be a tough one. I really love it though.

SHOULD I SWAP MY JUMBO CLASSIC FLAP IN GHW, BLACK FOR A PRE-LOVED REISSUE 227 GHW?
I hope to get a lot of discussions here. I have bought a Classic Flap back in 2011 at the Chanel boutique in Taipei (spent SGD 4200, net of tax credit)
Its a Jumbo GHW in Grained Calkskin.
Recently though, I've been thinking of swapping my bag to a Reissue in GHW for the following reasons:
a) Reissue has more history. since its the original look Coco Chanel designed.
b) The Mademoiselle lock is more discreet.
Some of my friends were saying that I should not even consider doing it, because the classic flap is still a classic and the design has been around for 30+ years (when Karl Lagerfeld changed it.)
SHOULD I DO IT OR NOT?
Madam Milan is Singapore is willing to do a 1 for 1 swap.
The bag is price at SGD 5350.
If I swap it, I do not need to pay for anything at all.
I do not buy a lot of handbags, I only have this and I plan to keep it forever. Please let me know if I'm making the right decision or not.

You already hav your jumbo , you got it new and is in good shape, so i wouldn’t swap my bag for a used bag that I’m not really sure about its condition.
For me, I love tye reissue more than the classic flap and considering getting it one day as it is more style.
But if i already got a classic flap i will keep it and try to get the reissue later preferrable a new one.
But if you think yoy are not going to use ur bag then maybe you can sell it and get a brand new reissue.
I personally would not give up the classic flap. Yours is gorgeous and it is timeless. I am also a lover of Reissue's as well and think they have a completely different vibe. There is room for both classic flap's and Reissue's in one's collection, not one or the other, imo. Good luck deciding. 
I love the Reissue — it’s my favorite Chanel bag, and one of my favorite bag styles ever. However, I agree with the person who said she would not swap a bag you bought new for one in used condition that you’re not sure of.
Do you still use and love your Jumbo? If you do, then don’t part with it. The Reissue and Jumbo are different enough to have both, especially if you have different hardware colors. If, on the other hand, you have stopped using your Jumbo and/or find it difficult to use because it is heavy or more obviously Chanel, then perhaps you should get a Reissue instead. I’d be very sure that this one is the one you want, though. I have three and the distressed calf can feel different from year to year. If you’re used to buying new from the boutique, you may be happier selling your Jumbo and puttng the funds toward a new Reissue. Don’t swap just because you won’t lose any money out of pocket — if that’s the primary reason, you will probably regret it down the line.
Nope. You Jumbo still looks new. That reissue is worn. If you really want a reissue, buy new or look for one in better shape and then sell your Jumbo.
