I purchased my 227 reissue during our trip to Milan in May 2017. Love that it's a bit different from the distressed calfskin.It has black double flap interior. No tags were provided with my bag. However, the receipt says it's 16p. Authenticity code starts with 22. Is this a seasonal bag? Did the SA sell me an older style from 2016? Does anyone know the details of this bag? I believe it's calfskin. Do you spray your bag before using?
I just purchased this same bag a few weeks ago and picked it up today I have also heard there are sometimes issues with chipping. I've seen a few posts about the black HW chipping.The SA assures me there is not a problem and has never heard this before. And if it does they will replace it within a year. For the price of this bag im not sure its worth it in addition to the problems you show in your pictures. I may return it. Thoughts?For black chevron reissue owners out there, do you have any problems with the leather on the front flap after opening it for a few times? I bought this bag a month ago and noticed there are some streaks on the flap after using it for 4 times. Do you know if I can exchange it for a new one because it is bothering me a lot. TIA!
I'm worried about the chipping issue because I just purchased this bag. I've heard about it from from the discussions on the blog and also another SA at the Chanel boutique said you do have to be careful with any "coated" hardware. I brought this up to my SA and she assures me she has never heard of this but according to actual people that own the bag have attested to this....I may return this.....Is anyone having issues with black hardware? Any chipping? My bag chain is already once replaced

I just saw one at Las Vegas Botique 1 week ago. I think it was the medium size. Try calling them, it was gorgeous!
Hello everyone! I am picking up my reissue with gold hardware tomorrow, how sensitive is the classic leather to rain? I live in Sweden, is it a bad idea to use the bag almost daily or should I exchange it for something more sturdy? It's my dream bag, but I want to get a lot of use of it.

Thank you!Please help me decide on a reissue. I'm all over the place because I love every one I see! I prefer chevron but am open to quilted. I saw the 2 new ones- the light gold and metallic charcoal. Both with ghw. Both are gorgeous! I'm also at a preloved navy aged quilted with ghw. All 226 size. Oh yes, and would love to find a burgundy. What do you think about the 2 new metallics vs the navy? Does Chanel re-do colors on reissues seasonally? Thanks!!
I'm hesitant to buy metallics as they don't seem to wear well over time. I would personally go for the navy.

By classic leather, Im assuming you mean the distressed calf? One of mine (dark blue 227) got rained on the very first time I wore it! I had an umbrella but it was a nasty, blowing rain and the bag got pretty wet in spite of my efforts to protect it. I wiped it off as best I could (we were at a restaurant, so the napkin there was all I had), and the bag was fine. I don't know how the distressed calf will hold up if it's exposed to rain repeatedly, but if it happens occasionally, you should be OK.
For the reissue owners out there, is the stitching in the 2nd flap, specifically the CC stitching, shows any inconsistencies (I.e. Some stitching are shorter and fatter than others)? The first picture is harder to tell from the lighting but the 2nd picture you can see some stitches are fatter and shorter. And the cc stitching is not smooth, there's a slightly pulling on the leather. I have 2 other reissues and they look nothing like this one.
