Chanel taking more production shortcuts? I personally looked at at least 6-7 226 reissues in black before I found the one with a more rounded top. There were plenty of other issues with those bags (not picky but was surprised at the amount of popped stitches, strange horizontal lines on the brand new MII across the front flaps and other quality issues). Mine happened to be MIF. Softer tops 225s and 226s do exist though. Brand new reissue minis are pretty much always sharper at the top in my experience. If not then mini will sharpen at the top within the first couple of weeks of wear. “Sharp” or “rounded” - reissues are quintessential Chanel! My reissues and Loewe are the most worn everyday pieces.

what do you mean by ‘windshield wipe’? Is it like the attached photo?

Which Loewe do you prefer by the way ? I’ve been thinking about the puzzle and the hammock :smile:

Hi, there! No, I only mean the actual mademoiselle turn lock mechanism that quickly wears the aged gold surface off unlike ruthenium. It’ll show that “smile” or “windshield” effect on used AGHW reissues from turning it back and forth. I have seen it in my mini reissue (dove grey from 20P, I think ) quickly as i love and utilize my reissues almost daily. However I rotate them seasonally.
The chain is supposed to look that way, I believe. It’ll go more silver though with good amount of wear though as well.

I just bought my second Puzzle in Sand ( grained calf ) color (sand/mink is sold out and discontinued). Perfect beige/ light taupe I needed. I’m so HAPPY with it. No need to baby the bag just like my reissues. Gorgeous, simple, elegant, modern stuff made of quality leather. I just can’t. LOL. Love hammocks but they are a tad more clunky in usage because of the opening clasp in a small size.
Chanel Reissues and Loewe ( and some Prada ) have proved the best everyday leather handbags for me.

And congrats again on your beauty! :heart::flowers: Unfortunately I’m too late to the party for 22p as everything is sold out now in my boutique and my SA can’t get one from this collection for me. He said he doesn’t know yet in which collection one would come out and that the waitlist at the boutique would last at least half a year if not longer.:sad: So I hope it won’t last that long and I’ll get lucky with another collection soon.:girlsigh: Will definitely keep you posted! :ghi5:

Wow there is that long of a wait list for it? Maybe keep an eye out on the stocks thread as it may pop up on there! Good luck!

Don’t give up hope yet! There could be a waitlist but I also joined the party really late and messaged two SAs from different boutiques in Singapore that I was looking for one last Wed and there happened to be a new shipment last Fri and she messaged me that they just received the black mini reissue that I was looking for! This was despite not having any purchase history or a prior waitlist with her as I bought my CF from the other SA who told me that she will keep a lookout for me in future collections (probably out of stock this late into 22P)

Since 22P isn’t over yet although it’s late into the season, there could still be new shipments coming in! (:
