Note that US price with tax is still 10-15% lesser compared to current retail price in Asia., Australia - am sure Chanel will want to harmonise pricing at some point

Actually in Asia it depends on the country

US classic medium classic flap is $6800 (with tax b/w7100-7500)

Hong Kong Medium flap is HKD 52,800 (= USD $6794) so actually cheaper than the US

Malaysia medium is MYR 29,760 (=USD $ 7,212) so pretty close to US price with tax

Singapore is SGD 10,270 (=USD $ 7696) so a few percent over US price depending on state tax.

Australia is definitely more expensive at AUD 10,800 or USD $8,358

All of the above are based on today’s exchange rate. Also assuming there is no additional tax in these countries...

Yes so am sure at some point Chanel will want a price harmonisation ! Am not saying this May( but just to be mindful!)

Maybe Chanel can harmonize the prices by bringing the prices down overseas to match the US and not raise the prices anymore.

I should really buy a Chanel when I go to HK to visit next time! I have bought LV, Burberry, Dior, and Gucci in HK but never Chanel....I think it's because they sell out of the items I would like to get....

I dont have more news unfortunately except that the lockdown also played a big role in the increase. but it did trigger the urge to buy. So if you are planning to get something, I think its best to do it asap.

Will there be a classic flap price increase in Europe in May? I have an appointment for 1 may Want to buy my first new jumbo and to be honest I already find the prices insane. I’m not sure if I can justify an higher price
