I saw this article today about how there's been a flurry of activity of people buying preloved Chanel bags because of a possible price increase on Chanel bags. The article states that because worldwide prices have been harmonized Chanel will not be looking to raise prices. Any news from your SAs about this? What do you think? Will there be a price increase? I feel like the financial market is going to tank this summer in the us. I suppose the argument could go both ways on this. Because the markets are bad and the dollar has dropped prices of bags will increase. Or, the markets are bad and the dollar has dropped but if the prices of bags are too high us buyers will cut back and do no increase. Retailers are struggling this season with richemont and Louis Vuitton reporting recent sales drops. Yesterday I was shopping at the tysons galleria a mall near DC and it was very quiet in all the store, including Chanel.

Tysons II is always quiet. I go frequently and it's never like Tyson's I.

Yes it is usually quiet but this was even quieter than usual. Normally there are a few people in the Chanel and LV stores in the middle of the day but there were no customers. I know many of my friends are cutting back now because a lot of people are concerned about where the market is headed and the election.

I believe for the is it was two years ago. I really hope there isn't another one this year because while I want to buy a few bags I am concerned about spending when the markets might tank.

Hi all, I was recently watching lvlovercc on YouTube and she said her SA had told her that Chanel prices will be going up 20% soon. Has anyone heard the same from their SAs? I find it hard to believe given the current economic conditions.

If it's been two years,since last increase,it's too be expected.A 11% increase,making a jumbo 4K+,makes it not worth it for me.Although ,I'd love a navy jumbo ghw,and red caviar,I'll only get one,as £8400 for two jumbos,that were only £2200 6 years ago.Means I'd rather stick to Hermes,at this price point.more exclusive

jumbos are already $5500 + tax here in the states, can't imagine dropping over 6K on a jumbo now!!! and to think.... just 6 years ago it was under $3000. :wtf::crybaby:

I think,fact,they didn't increase price ,for two years,was Proberly because of a slow down in sales.six years ago,I would only have been able to get a red lamb jumbo ,in USA,if not on wait list in uk.As everything sold out in Europe,straight away.Fact there are still a few available,means,where as I and a lot of others,would have bought between 4 to 8 jumbos over year,6 years ago,people move away from the brand,only buying the odd price,,as can't justify ,the price,for the same jumbo.I person don't think,their worth price.Would be better to hold off certain,colours ,so people really want them,otherwise not that special.I really want one more,but 4200,means a Hermes kelly is a better buy,just so much games to get one.i hope for red caviar jumbo,if I can't,then just Hermes.And even then,it would be just one.
