Chanel Price Increase *please include location*

Other than mini??

Sorry let me rephrase, my SA's assistant@Saks in the NY store told me they have started getting bags in that have been marked up already. I appologize but I did not inquire as to which ones. And when I spoke directly with my SA I spent most of the call discussing the new "repair/refurb policy".

I have been looking for a light weight larger bag for a few weeks now and im having difficulty finding the perfect bag. I swear with the looming price increase and new repair policy the whole event has been so stressful vs joyful while making a Chanel purchase.

I really wish one of the higher ups in corporate would review the Chanel threads on this forum to see the negative impact there strategies have on there customers. I am so close to saying the hell with it and just not making the purchase at all.

So I spoke with my saks SA and she said the price has not increased yet, her exact words were "no.....relax.....lol!" But my sister found out from NM today that there will be a price increase within the next month so it's anyone's guess.

My Saks SA also said she's not heard anything.


My BG SA told me to relax

They both said only minis and new season Danville totes will go up

But boy WOCs and boy o cases have gone down in prices

Next week is not too far away so we shall see soon! I can't take another price increase

lol, that must be the company line, "relax". They must be sick of everyone asking "is there a price increase". I was hoping they would decrease the mini's! I am sooooooo banned so no more shopping for me anyway price increase or not. But in all seriousness chanel needs to be fair to the customers and not increase anymore.

I think the reason we are all getting diffrent info on the price increase is because basically the SA's honestly do not know for sure when it will happen. My SA mentioned they used to get the info on increases well in advance, but that is no longer the case. She said they now normally find out about a week prior to the increase. I think it would be great if we all kept digging and maybe everyone should actually ask there SA how much notice do you get prior to the increase happening?

It seems the answers we are getting differ slightly so maybe this approach will help us.

We knew about the price increase for the mini quite some time ago when we got the Saks list for cruise 16.

If Hermes is increasing price about 10% each year, I guess this is what Chanel tends to do as well , to upkeep the luxury branding . At least so far with the price point they have right now, the bags are still flying off the shelves like crazy

I agree but it seems it is higher than 10% when you look at 2 increases in one year.

And im not sure about bags flying off shelves....the SA's seem to be getting nicer, some pushier just to make the sale. I also recall a convo with my NM SA whom stated once the bags go online for sale next month it will be more difficult for the SA's to make a nice commission....Time will tell, thats for sure.

I hope there is no price increase before year end hoping to get the classic flap for the holiday season. I also notice that the boy Woc is currently the same price as the classic and Chanel folded pouch drop in price

I found a bag I really wanted to purchase from NY store, which I ended up purchasing the other day during pre-sale. I made the purchase at this time solely based on fear of an increase. Where in all reality.... I would have preferred to make the purchase in Dec during the triple point events.

saks is having presell for triple points now.
