I've been following this thread for years now and I agree that this thread should be solely used for whether or not there are price increases on the horizon. It's essential for people that don't really have the time to browse the forums but would just like to be updated whether or not there is going to be an increase. We all live busy lives and we don't always have the luxury of filtering through debates. I don't mind the occasional conversation or certain topics being brought up but not a back and forth about whether or not people like the increase or not. That has been a topic that has been brought up MANY times on other threads. It's a very interesting issue but considering this thread is called, "Next Price Increase?" for years - lets just leave it at that.

Just like how there are threads just dedicated to the current prices of Chanel items, this thread should be dedicated to when the next price increase will be. Just because it might be a year away doesn't mean we need to talk about it in THIS particular thread.

Now back on topic: Since we're in the clear for now, we probably don't need to be concerned about the price increase until the late summer/fall since that is the time they usually choose for the 2nd increase. Fingers crossed.

I surely hope that there won't be a price increase until late summer to fall, but since we have heard there will be meetings regarding Chanel's policies and more, I just can't be sure. I'm with you with fingers crossed!

I was on a trip in Honolulu and checked some sunglasses on February 28, they were $460, went back on March 1 they were $510. Did not check bag prices though... Seems like there was a price increase at least on accessories.

I spoke with a SA at the Chanel counter at Saks on El Paseo in Palm Desert a few days ago, and she expected a $400 increase on the GST in March? Orrrr, she was just trying to get me to buy it. (It was too uncomfortable under my arm!)

Since Chanel has had yearly price increases at the beginning of the year for the past many years, she was probably giving you sage advice. :)

Weird, I just saw my SA yesterday and she didn't mention a price increase. I'm pretty sure she would tell me in advance too. Maybe it's country specific? Going to cross my fingers on this one.
