Chanel Price Increase *please include location*

I doubt the increase is Mar. 1st because if that was the case, I'm sure the SAs would've warned us this week (since it is a week before Mar.1st) instead of next week which would be the week of. Don't they normally warn us a week ahead?

Sometimes it's only a few days, like when the shoes went up this month. I'd not count on a long advance notice, but nobody really knows the exact date other than Chanel corporate. I wish it wouldn't happen at all this year; that would be really special! Or at least wait until all of 13P has arrived so we have time to see then buy!

I somehow feel word would have gotten out more than 1 week ahead. I think more SA's would have told clients therefore more than 1 or 2 mentions here. I mean in the past we've known more ahead of time, and had stock lists from SA's and etc. But I don't pretend that Chanel makes sense, so it's possible.

this is what a sales associate from the SF store emailed me yesterday :

We are expecting a price in handbags but we do not have an exact date yet. But for jewelry I did not get any information of price increase about it. If i get any date about the price increase on handbags, I will inform you.

I can't remember which thread was talking about this a month ago but I am seeing emails from SAs saying there is a "small" classic flap coming out that is 2600. I remember people were wondering if it is the new price for the rectangle mini or if it's a different bag.

Did anyone get the answer on that?
I asked an SA this by email and she glazed over the question and just said she put me down for it.

Nevermind-- I went back and checked the email the price is 2400 so when she wrote small she probably means mini.

what I dont get is why the need for new policies. If theres a price increase there will be less people buying as it is (which is what seems to be there objective, to be more exclusive). So the price increase pretty much takes care a lot of there concerns it would seem. Maybe Im wrong. Either way boo to Chanel (even though I love you). I am dreading March 1st.
