I'm going crazy.. Have a credit note and just turned down a black caviar jumbo ghw last week (after weeks of waiting...) because of one creased part on one of the diamond shaped cushions (well you know what I mean) on the front of the bag. Now I'm worried that my SA is not going to call me soon for a new one and I'll have to pay the price after the increase
Any news??
Any advise? Should I try another colour and exchange later if or when it comes in?

It could be rumor but I think based on the last increase was in Jan/Feb 2012..... it is very likely that the next increase is coming SOON for sure......

I would like to know as well! Planning on making my first Chanel purchase (and last, according to my boyfriend ). Do you think the price increase will be Dec, Jan or Feb? Hoping it's not till Feb .. Or never. LOL

I don't think SAs know until about a week before. If you are thinking of getting a bag, I would recommend getting it now. If you want until January, the price may increase and on top of that... it is "post-Christmas" inventory, and all the good stuff is gone.

Last year, I bought a kisslock in Nov, 2011 for $1395.00. Then, in February, the same black lamb kisslock increases to $1500.00 (I had a problem with my kisslock and had to exchange it which is why I knew the price increased). Then in May, I see a yellow kisslock that I like and buy it for $1900.00.

Totally insane. But... obviously not that insane as I still bought the darn bag. So.. Chanel knows what they are doing... demand for luxury items will always be there.

If you can get the bag now, I would definitely do so before the Christmas mad rush.

What is the reAson for the price increases? Are they needed? And is it not affecting their sales??

I tried to look up their financial statements and noted Chanel is actually a privately owned company. Hence, no financial data to look at.

Chanel is as good as a way to show people your status in the society. People will never stop buying no matter how expensive it is.

Unfortunately with Christmas coming up, spending $5000+ on myself is totally out of my budget. I probably will have to buy it in January or February, this is why I'm crossing my fingers that the price increase won't be till end of February!
