Chanel Price Increase *please include location*

I was surprised to hear from an SA at BG's that the classic flaps and reissues will be going up later THIS MONTH, possibly next week. Don't know if he was trying to get me to buy now, or if other stores will follow suit with the price increases so soon. Bags will be going up the usual $500-600 depending upon the size. Luckily, my current purchase will be the last classic I'll buy. I need more casual bags and a few seasonal Chanels.

If prices increase, they will everywhere. Usually BG runs a week to ten days behind
Can anyone else verify this info too, chime in if you've heard the same. I will contact my favorite SA to find out too

I asked my NM SA and he said that their buyer is holding the price for now. Still have time to get the must Classics! Personally, i think it's unreasonable to pay more than $5000 for a jumbo size.

I asked one of myy SAs about this when I heard new rumors and she said she hasn't heard anything....for what it's worth... I'm going to see what else I learn as I will be traveling soon and will see more SAs at different stores/boutiques.

Omigosh, the reissues too, and so soon? *cries* Looks like I will not be able to afford another for a long while. With tax, my 12A 226 already cost over 5K, it's sort of becoming unimaginable. I wonder if it will ever reach a ceiling, or keep going up until they are priced like Hermes...

My last purchase was also a 226! Chanel prices are going up faster than the general rate of inflation. I think Chanel bags will experience a price increase 1 or 2 times a year until they reach a certain point, probably over $6K (just my guess). That's why whenever I take out my Chanel bags, I tell myself to enjoy and treasure them because I'd never be able to afford having a collection of several Chanel's at today's current prices.

Me too! I so relate... Since the prices have been soaring up, I treat the bags I do have now so carefully even I have to laugh at myself sometimes. My bf thinks I'm being silly, but I know if I spill something on it I won't be able to afford a replacement lols

I havent been on here for a while. Im shocked at the price increases! Bought a medium 2.25 flap 3 years ago for £1495 and jumbo £1750, 227 for £2250 and shopper £1400. glad I invested then.

Love it to death. Comes in black and beige now... But I heard it is being discontinued. If you are interested in the black, my SA my be able to hunt one down for you. Beige is nowhere to be found r so I've heard. My friend wanted a beige, so she called my SA, she decided to buy the black instead.

Hi. His name is James at 305-632-0344. Kindly tell him Irma sent you. If one exists, he can find it for sure! You will love it. It is my absolute favorite Chanel style. For plan B, take a look at the GST. I just bought two and love that style as well. Flaps are not really me, so these totes are great.

Do you mean the square-shaped mini? I just bought one this season (12a). They did make them for fall (I've seen them in black caviar, blue lamb, and various shades in patent), but not sure if they will be making them for cruise and spring.

Yes well I'm not sure if she knew exactly what I meant or if she thought I was talking about a different mini, I don't know. She didn't really try to ask me or give me any other options, just rudely said they aren't being made anymore. I'm not sure if I should call a local nordstroms or any other store to be on a waiting list or what since I plan on purchasing within a few months from now. I've never bought a Chanel bag and have been doing my research lately but I'm a bit lost! Especially now that someone has told me they stopped making them :/ I just want the classic black square mini! Nothing out of the ordinary! I thought they were CLASSIC, meaning they are always being made...
