^I've heard they no longer inform SA's about price increases before hand to avoid rushes to buy bags and to avoid rumors.

I wouldn't rule the idea out entirely.

My SCP SA informed me in May that there would be a price increase on some classic styles effective July 1st.

Both my Saks and NM SAs said the same, but I didn't have enough details to post. I guess we'll soon find out.

The classics already had an increase on june 1st. The timeless clutch went from 1150 to 1295! =[ Thank god I bought mine right before the increase. haha


When you guys put your boyfriends on ebay, let me know. I'll buy them with the money I have, make them work, and then have them buy me more chanels! LOL.

The price changes according to supply and demand. If particular items sell well, they might keep making them and increase the price. Like classic...
I think GST, and medallion relatively sell slow or weak, Chanel has no intension increase the price. Or we can call they are entry-level products?!! (quote from the thread of chanel bubble)

Actually, with the way Chanel has been increasing their prices, we would get many boyfriends if we sell 1 Chanel on Ebay, not the other way around. Especially a RED Chanel!

This is from my HK SA.
Actually I just bought a medium black caviar classic last week (from Paris) saving about US$320 compared to HK. Planning to get a white caviar medium/jumbo later when I travel to Spain in mid Jul. With 15% increase in HK effective Jul 1, probably the same in Europe, may buy in HK instead.

Yes, hurry Sophie. Yoshiko told me this in May, but call SCP first just to verify. She said that the caviar jumbo would be increasing to just under 3K. It might even be more.

Either they are too obsessed abt price increasing or else they are all NUTS.....
