Chanel Packaging & Boxes - What do you use yours for?

I always thought that keeping them inside the box was not really good for the bag itself, especially for humid/hot places. Not sure if this applies to non-humid places but I assumed leather bags should be able to breathe (store in its dust bag outside of box with dis bag loosely tied up) since it’s made out of (leather) skin

Yeah... this is how I store in dust bags but not in the boxes.

The uk has always been dry so it helps but i also put silica gel satchets in the boxes to absorb all the moisture (if theres any). Been doing this for years without a problem.

i love the boxes and ribbons and shopping bags! i feel like that stuff is part of the “in-store” experience. one time i almost didn’t buy a pair of chanel boots because the sales associate didn’t want to wrap them with the holiday ribbon -he eventually came around and i was very happy!

I kept mine for a very long time but recently have recycled or thrown them out. My mom has some of them in her garage as storage boxes for season decor.

I keep everything that the bag came with (dust bag, authenticity card, tissue, ribbon, camellia, care booklet) inside the box, then I display the bag on top of its box in my display cabinet. That way the "full set" is still together should I ever want to sell it.

I do something similar! I store all of my bags on a shelf and put their corresponding boxes behind them (shelves are too shallow to store the bags on top of the boxes).

I had a lot of boxes from over the years, and I don't use them to store the bags. Some are in better shape than others. For the more sturdy boxes (like LV), I use them to store small items like wallets, fobs or scarves. For some of the others, I framed them as decoration in my walk in closet.
