Very true, good point. I recently had an unused larger reissue, that would be $7400 new, quoted by Fashionphile at a $4K buyout. It's pretty hard to wrap my mind around a $10K reissue. I'm a huge reissue fan, and this bag really caught my eye, but that IMO price point is nutty, especially if it's the mini.

I feel this 21A two pearl bag does not have enough luxury feel to it for $10k. The one from SS19 was better...

Please friends. Please talk me out of this bag. Bc I’ve been dreaming of it since I saw the runway photos. Someone mentioned the $10k price a few weeks ago and I was shocked and absolutely outraged and resigned myself to not getting the bag. But now the shock has worn off and my heart still longs. I’ve always wanted a special piece and just don’t know when the chance will come again. As a collector I def want at least one. Please talk me out of this lolololol

eta: does anyone know if it is velvet or silk? Velvet is the only thing that will turn me off at this point lol

I will try to be the good angel on your shoulder - don’t do it! In truth, I think the price is too much. It is so fancy there is a chance you will not use it many times. The intricacy of the design combined with velvet makes it *worse* most likely because lint will get stuck between all those embellishments and you won’t be able to roller the lint off. When inevitably the velvet wears, Chanel won’t repair it.

I was looking forward to something special being added to my closet so thinking of getting the yellow gold pave Alhambra earrings in its place. Would definitely get the cost per wear from those.

Grained calfskin in rose? That’s caviar and we haven’t seen that on the reissue for a while now, excited to see it!

I definitely share your pain on the embellished flaps. There’s a part of me that still wants one of them but honestly the $10k is crazy. And when I realized that lint will start to get stuck in between everything, and I will spend all my time picking it out with my fingernails to make it perfect again - NO.

I am actually not even a velvet hater, I’m planning on a different velvet bag from this collection. But it is all velvet, so I can roller it more easily.

I reached out to an SA and she told me this bag was going to retail at $2525 and this price could change by launch date.
I find this interesting because the current plain vanity with change retail is $1550!

I understand this is the 'pearl crush' version but that doesn't account for the almost 60% INCREASE in price.
This has me wondering if this price is accounting for an upcoming price increase or they really raised the price that much...!

I have the VCA vintage pave yellow gold earrings and they are probably the most worn items in my closet. Definitely better purchase than a velvet bag. I highly recommend!

Its SO much for what it is. She originally said $1875 but afterwards said she quoted me the price for the wrong bag.
The mini version is going for 1875$ so I have to assume the full size will be more $$$

So I would consider the camelia version that youre getting a good deal for that price!

I think the new camelia version is $1900 I just paid deposit for it for the black one!
