Yikes!!I put my deposit down for a white CCH. Now I am having serious doubts!

I have a cch that I purchased last September and wear a few times a week. No wear on the corners at all & I really can’t even imagine how that would happen bc they never touch anything lol. There’s even feet on the bottom that keeps the corners from touching surfaces.

Thank you for sharing! Hoping fraying doesn’t get any worse. But yeah I saw a post back in 2019 that apparently the fraying is normal for the classic flaps?
I wouldn't say that should be expected...I have 5 CF's ranging from 5-10 years old none have fraying on the strap...yet...*knock on wood* But fraying on a relatively new CF doesn't sound normal.

I think you get the corner wear if the corners crash into something or the bag falls if sitting on something hard. The feet are pretty tiny, and the bag can fall and the corner hit something easily. You just need to be careful and sit it only where it won’t accidentally fall. I have 2 which I have only used mine a few times, but I am trying my best to make sure the corners don’t touch or rub against anything. In tight spaces, I usually try to cover my bags with my hand to protect it.

This is for the U. S. some 22A merchandise is already in stock. I went to a Chanel stand alone boutique and had a Sa look at some of my style numbers. She said oh we have this color in beige would you be interested in seeing this item? I said ok sure. Then the Sa said the card case I was supposed to see disappeared out of her system. She gave me another location for a black card case. She gave me the total number and a Sa at Saks fifth ave confirmed the same information. I rush to the third Chanel boutique and the first sa tells me no card cases in stock. Now a second Sa starts to assist me and gives me the bs story the first Sa made a mistake because 22A merchandise haven't released yet. This I already know and I ask so no reservations? The two previous Sa already saw the merchandise is in stock at the third boutique neither said the card case was in transit to be shipped to the boutique.

That’s what I thought so I was a bit confused when I read that post. I do have several classic flaps purchased throughout the years with my oldest one purchased back in 2005 at Rue Cambon. Unfortunately, out of all classic flaps I have, 3 of those which I bought last year all have some fraying issues  So i’m not sure if it’s the type of leather used or what.

That's so sad, were the bags at least appear in perfect condition at the point of purchase? This make me hesitant to buy any classic bags now who knows how well it'll hold up in just a few wears? We can only be so picky and examine everything before checkout...Maybe you can at least bring in the most recent ones to the boutique and see what the SA can do for you?
