I need some opinions here. I am a new chanel shopper (started in May 2021), and so far, ive been lucky enough to get bags from standalone boutique in another state. I am grateful for my SA.

Recently, I bought an SLG from my local NM for 22S and really clicked with the SA here. I would prefer to buy local, so i can just pick up the bag and return on the spot if i dont like it vs shipping it to another state (which i’d like to avoid).

now, the NM SA said i would be first on her list for 22a mini square, but will have to see if the store is getting the bag. So it is not reserved right now.

Should I reach out to my standlone SA? I dont want to miss the opportunity to own this bag, but i would feel so bad if i succeed in reserving at standalone boutique, then later have to turn down the NM SA. What would you do? Thanks for reading.

I’m quite a new Chanel shopper too. Imo, If I really want the bag so bad, I would try to contact SA at stone alone. I shop at NM Chanel also as I prefer the SA there than my local boutique. Though, they have limited selection. 22S I really want mini rect pearl crush in black. My SA at NM had only received in square. She mentioned there was only 1 mini rect in black that came in and no pearl crush. I had no choice so I took the square. I love it but have some regret I should have got it in rect.

I came back through to read about the yellow and look at photos again. I love this sunshine, bright lemon yellow! Agree the last yellow as a bit to Easter for me also. Too pale. I so wish it was coming out in chevron also. I would hunt that bag down so hard. Thinking I'll just go for an SLG?

Lemon and saffron yellows are my favorite, next to pink, of course! Slg would be great pops! I can’t believe the yellow isn’t getting much attention. More for us, I suppose lol

I've been whining up and down lately about how I missed the 20b yellow. Still waiting for you and your light pink CF photos!

Can anyone comment on the color NI685? Has it existed in previous seasons? I think a red boy is next for me so was excited to see one for 22A but NI685 looks on the brighter and orangey side. Also on the swatch the quilting looks larger than the other colors’ swatches?

Nice to see a fellow yellow lover. I’m hoping this yellow is a tad darker too. Didn’t know I love yellow so much until 20s.

I think Chanel often uses existing color codes that can be slightly different from previous seasons. I've also found that the swatches aren't perfect indicators and the bag image in the upper left corner on the iPad screen shots are also not always updated, therefore those are not always indicative of the specific colors for that season. :shocked:.

If it's a season with a runway, I'll typically use the looks on Vogue Runway or on Chanel's site to try and get a closer look at the bag colors. The one challenge with that is sometimes the bags evolve in production, and other times there are multiple shades of one color (e.g. 3 pinks in 22S) but I do think it's one of our only resources so we have to use what we can! Most of the stock photos on IG are posted on TPF, but always worth a double check there as well. I think Chanel is comfortable keeping us guessing and since the heightened focus on resellers, it seems there are fewer and fewer leaked stock photos so far in advance, especially for the two seasons without a runway show (P and B). It seems the SAs have a general idea of the shades, but at the same time it seems like the IRL experiences aren't always the same as any photography, especially with boutique lighting. Sorry I don't have the exact answer to your question, just wanted to mention that even the same color code won't necessarily translate to the same shade from a previous season, sigh.

This is really helpful! You’re right, even photography of the entire bag may still reflect differently IRL! I’m surprised color codes can be reused in seasons but not be exactly the same, but given the handmade nature guess it make sense! I will try to catch it in store to see IRL and decide from there! Half of me is hoping it’s not the deep red I want for the sake of my wallet :p besides the red boy the small one w the sequins also looks amazing!!! Thank you so much for your response!!

I am totally failing with trying to reserve the iridescent green mini (rectangle preferred but square is also fine) so far. Does anyone have a SA that might be able to assist? I have purchase history at all options for Chanel stores (stand alone and department stores)
