Yes it was a great saving I think around £915! It’s better to ship from Selfridges than the old Global Blue process as you get the full VAT amount with no charges taken.
I had the option of shipping from Chanel at £50 or taking the bag to the export floor and shipping for £25 and they both use DHL.
This can now be very dangerous for my bank account 😃

I would suggest doing the calculation before you decide…

If you are shipping to the US…there will almost definitely be import duties and possibly also state tax (depending on the state).

I was traveling very lightly and would have had to purchase additional luggage to fit the box. It worked like a dream and the shoes got here today. They were very forthcoming about it and told me it's 25£ via Selfridges and 50£ via Chanel.

I received the full vat amount of 20% off my purchase as no transaction charges are taking by Selfridges. I didn’t have to pay any duty for the item arriving into my island but looking at the HMRC commodity codes it could have been 2%.
