Hi all! I picked up a medium CF from Selfridges this week. This was my first purchase in the UK, and I was wondering if it is normal for the SA to keep the product tag? I only received a receipt and not the product tag with the product code, season information, price etc. on it; I’m used to getting that along with my receipt in the US.

I think I’ve gotten only the tags in the US, never in the UK that I recall.

I think you can return to another stand alone boutique but Harrods/Selfridges possibly not as they operate within a different framework.

I emailed Chanel in Harrods yesterday and they had a good amount of stock for different cardholders. I ended up purchasing a black classic cardholder in caviar leather with GHW. They're shipping it to my home address. Great service as always in the Chanel Harrods!

Curious - are you based in USA? Wondering how customs work? I'm eyeing a bag from Harrods, costs 5k+, will I have to pay import duties? If yes, how much and how?

I would contact the Selfridges international export team as whilst I was arranging for my bag to be shipped VAT free a US gentleman had gone to enquire how the process worked.

I used the service in store in September. I purchased my bag down in Chanel, told them I wanted to export and once paid took it to the international export service floor. The assistant completed the shipping documentation and processed my VAT refund. This was all done on a Saturday and my bag was shipped on the Monday.
You can do it online too, I would contact Selfridges export customer services.
I was warned I may have to pay import duty when my bag arrived but due to its origin and I am in the Channel Islands there was no duty.
