I use mine when I go out to dinner on the weekends...but as my winter bag cuz it goes better with my big coats...I feel it’s too much bag when the weather is warmer...since I’m on the smaller size

I have a double and single and I love both and use it for most non work weekend stuff, like shopping, errands, lunches or brunches. What I especially love about the jumbo is that it fits my phone in the back pocket. I’m all about ease of use with my bag purchases. I also love the compartments inside, and it’s large enough you can use an organizer for more compartments. For dinners or evenings out, I use my medium flap. I need a laptop for work so I can’t use any of my Chanels for that. Of course I’m not doing much of any of the above right now, just working from home and getting groceries, but I’ll even take my jumbo for groceries. If I was out for a whole day of sight seeing or shopping, I wouldn’t take it for that, would take a light crossbody.

Lambskin chevron double flap- when I just had one kid I carried it all the time but now with two and being at home with them I have switched to the deauville. I miss carrying my jumbo- I was one of those crazy people who would rock it crossbody. It fits the perfect amount of things for me including a tablet and a small water bottle. When I used to go into the office I would have an additional work bag (if needed) with my computer and lunch, etc. and then when we were out with baby I would have an additional baby tote with her essentials. I've since consolidated, but if it's just me, I think I could manage with just the jumbo, except now I am addicted to animal crossing on my switch.

Single flap black jumbo caviar with palladium H/W. I think the jumbo is a great everyday bag -- holds enough for work etc. and can be worn casually more easily IMHO.

I have a black lambskin double flap jumbo with SHW. I wear it a lot during the fall/winter with my big coats or a black leather jacket. I find that SHW goes better with casual outfits but do wish sometimes I have a GHW one for dressier occasions. I can’t wear it to work since I need to bring a big laptop. I work in a tech company in SF.

I wear my jumbo the most. I have a black caviar double flap with shw. I love it. It's comfortable. Ill wear it to the market....mainly the market now because of the pandemic haha. Im not going anywhere else. I used to wear it on dates, girls night dinners, to the mall. I wear it with my two boys. It nicely fits a diaper and wipes along with my other necessities. I dont often wear it crossbody but in the celebrity and chanel thread, it looks like they are wearing it crossbody lately.

I feel you. same.
My black GHW Jumbo is definitely more of a Fall and Winter bag. But in this season, I use it a lot. During this year mostly for a walk with my hubby, but in general I travel with it, I go shopping... just an everyday bag in the colder months.

But, I have to admit, it is my only black shoulder bag. I have a Fendi Peakaboo for work and situations, in which the jumbo would be a little bit too flashy. I think if I had more options, I wouldn‘t wear it so much. But I decided this very intentional.

Edit: there are a ton of outfit-inspirations out there in the web. sometimes I will look for Inspirations to get more casual idea.
Perhaps we need a “how to style the jumbo casually” thread in this forum :biggrin:

I have a pre-loved beige caviar single flap jumbo from 2000 (don’t know if that counts as vintage!), and I’ll admit it sat in its box for a long while as I didn’t quite know what to do with it! But once I started using it for work, I haven’t looked back. I love how closely it sits to my body and being hands free is definitely a plus. I also love the caviar leather as I don’t have to worry about people bumping into me on the trains.

I also have a Fendi Peekaboo in Sellaria which I agree is more discreet, but no less beautiful!

I find the jumbo too big to wear for dinners, I use my lambskin vintage mini instead.

I have three double flaps- black lambskin with GHW, dark purple lambskin with GHW, and metallic bronze lambskin (I think has GHW)...haven't checked out the single flap for comparison. I don't find them too heavy and I like to wear it crossbody...I'm busty with a long torso so it works on me (and makes me look smaller haha). I love how much I can fit in them and I use them for traveling (but I pack them, and usually just for short trips). They don't get used as often as I would like (I live on an island and it would be way too flashy for the people here), but if I'm shopping in a city, or there's an event like a gathering at a bar or dinner I have to attend (er, pre-covid), then I definitely take them out :) Sounds like single flap might be even better!

Would love getting a black or caramel GHW caviar jumbo double flap and I feel spending this much amount of money I would love to use daily, and to me it doesn't matter if it is too flashy. You could always dress down and still use the bag to make you look good or you could dress up and make the you look more glam for evening.. I work in a tech company

I am currently using a black GST SHW and using it for dailies and loving it so much that I am also thinking of a beige claire GST..

Defo planning to get one for my birthday so hope my dreams come true :smile:

I use it as an every day bag but not for work. Fits all my essential and I dont find it heavy at all. I wore all day yesterday (over a shirt, not a jacket) at a mall and it didnt bother me. Have to put it down to access my wallet but its doable. I love it to bits!! :heart:

Updates: I did get a Beige Claire GST with GHW.. absolutely in love with her .. I am now in love with Gabrielle but I suppose I have to wait a while before I pursue her

I love my Jumbo single flap, the double flaps are really heavy for me as I’m used to the single flap. It almost never gets heavy and is my everyday work bag.

I love the convenience of opening and just placing stuff without “arranging” it in position.
