Chanel Jelly Sandal vs Forever 21 Jelly Sandal

I've seen jelly sandals with a flower on them like this for years, so I am not sure the Chanel version is all that original, either. Granted F21's business seems to be copying other designers, but a jelly sandal is a jelly sandal. For someone who wants the look for what the sandals are worth, there's the F21 version; for those who cannot think of a better use for several hundred dollars, there's the Chanel version. There is always a price-point for everyone, and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Nine West has I think the cutest version for $39.95. I like the way they made their flower, it doesn't look like they were trying to make a replica. I might actually get these in the black/white. For that price if I lose them at the beach I'm not gonna cry.

Yeah, 90% of everything in their store is a copycat of something else, whether it's Chanel or a lesser store. With that said, I shop there all the time. Their prices are just too good to pass up.

Wow! Those are the EXACT same shoes only with different lables. I'm surprised chanel hasn't done anything.

While I agree that jelly sandals with stuff/designs on the front have been around for awhile...I think it is kind of obvious that many designers and stores are knocking off the Chanel ones. That happens though.

To be honest, I don't like either of the pink ones. I like the Chanel ones but in black with a white camellia flower.

So it isn't exactly a new design...but it's quite clear that they are very very inspired by the Chanel ones. Like...a little too much. Just my opinion though. I like the flower on the Chanel ones a lot more than any of the others as well.

Yeah... I've seen quite a few other "designer inspired" things at Forever 21 - I think the worst was a Chanel classic flap-esque bag. But I've noticed that a lot of their stuff photograph really nicely, while IRL there's definitely a HUGE quality difference (so that it's not even close to the real thing)!!

ETA: That being said, I do love Forever 21 for their clothes! They have tons of cute stuff!

This is so true. I would never buy anything online from Forever 21 before seeing it in person first. The picture often looks way better than the item IRL.

Well the Forever 21 ones aren't as cute as the Chanel IRL, but they are pretty comfy I think. I wanted the grey glitter ones for the beach but they were sold out. Actually, I think my favorites are the black Stuart Weitzman's, but the Nine West version is also super cute.
