Haha no, it’s just that Chanel works its magic into our hearts. If costume jewellery is what makes you happy, then go for it! Consider it money saved than if you had bought fine jewellery! Plus, your happiness is priceless, so yeah that costume jewellery is worth it. Sorry I changed tunes so quickly, but you seemed so drawn to costume jewellery. I guess it all boils down to personal style. I find fine jewellery just easier to match and I don’t have to throw my brains around what jewellery to wear if I only have those few (boring/classic) pieces to choose from

I often ask myself why I can’t just be “normal” and resign myself to beige clothing, beige and burgundy Chanel flaps and modest van cleef Alhambra’s in several colors. However, anytime I browse van cleef, Cartier and Chopard I find that I have to hype myself up to like anything. “It’s nice… I guess” is my reaction every single time. Even if I had billions in my bank account it wouldn’t excite me. I have 1 pair of Alhambra’s in pearl and a love bracelet. I’m good. And yet whenever Chanel releases anything pink or cute costume jewelry I lose my marbles. They truly give me a JOIE DE VIVRE and make me happy like nothing else. Heart shaped earrings, fake pearl necklaces, cc dangling earrings… Even if they won’t last - the joy of wearing them far outweighs anything that might last 5 centuries but bring me 13% of joy Chanel does. Even Chanel fine jewelry is boring af to me. Maybe I’ll grow out of my manic Barbie pink and costume jewelry phase but I sort of doubt it!
