Thanks, guys! TPFers are the best!
As for the questions:
Tonkamama: The shoulder strap works well, but because I myself was taking the picture, I had a hard time putting it on my shoulder and then taking a workable photo. I'm short, so the strap works fine for me. However, it's not a long strap, so the bag will hit kind of high up on someone tall. If you toss a bunch of things in the bag and it's super puffy, it might not really be all that comfortable. I would also caution that I think the bag looks better being held in the hand or on the forefront of the arm. The Chanel SA agreed with me. However, being able to throw it on your shoulder (while shopping or commuting on a train, for example) is at least possible.
Loveithateit - The bag is not heavy. Certainly my maxi is much heavier because of the longer chain. It is, though, puffier. You can "manage" the puffiness. I don't like it to be too puffy, so I only keep things like my building card or keys in the front flaps - I don't store, say, books or a sweater in there.
PenelopeB - Yeah, the soft lambskin is heaven to touch, but I do worry about it's longevity, especially as I only really own Chanel flaps that have cardboard to kind of "harden" them up. However, as I mentioned before, I actually think that the bag will be interesting as it ages and gets slouchier.
