KEEP! I am a tote gal and love this bag. My hesitation in purchasing one so far is not the maintenance, but the size as I am 5' 2" and 108lbs. The bag looks great on you. May I ask if it's possible to post a mod shot with you wearing the bag using the long straps on your shoulder?
As for keep or return... for sure keep! Mini bags are in now, but tote will come back. Besides... for summer... a big tote will also scream summer. I love big totes but only carry stuff that I could literally fit in a mini (credit card holder, mini o-case, kleenex). Yet I buy big totes because I love that look... so chic and carefree.

That's a really beautiful bag, though it's not totally carefree due to the color/materials. I really love it! I'm with your husband. It's nice to have a tote, and sometimes husbands think outside of the box we have ourselves in when it comes to bags. My husband is always encouraging me to venture beyond the classics that I tend to like....and I think he's right!
Agree with you. I think there is always a reason to have a tote! Mini bags (which I love) have their limitations.
Omg. My husband is just like you. He doesn’t really care if it is a classic or not. Sometimes I rationalize with him about the price will increase blah2 but he always said that it’s not like I’m going to sell. And even if, if the bag doesn’t suit you it doesn’t no matter how many others love it. Actually I almost wanted the Chanel 19 but trying on it doesn’t makes me feel happy. The strap drop too long and it doesn’t look nice on me for some reason. Also the price point I don’t know. Maybe I’m weird like that cuz I see so many ladies raving their Chanel 19. Haha!
I’m almost 100percent keeping it. I’m so excited although there are still very small part of me rethinking my decisions. Hahaha! I’m crazy! Anyway I have this some mod shots but definitely will post more once I wear it out. Hope this helps! Anyway I’m 159-160cm but I think it looks good on me. The very nice look slightly oversize kind of bag but somehow nice hahahahah.

I returned for a few reasons. I already have a large LV tote and a smaller goyard tote that i use for travel etc and I rarely use the larger of the two which is the size of the deauville. I also have two little boys so the light color frightened me and I need to be able to keep things like capri sun and snacks in my bag and I would be too scared even with an organizer in the deauville. It is a STUNNING bag with the glittery threads woven all throughout so I was very sad to say goodbye to it but the rational side of me realized there would not be much opportunity for me to wear it. But just because it does not suit my needs/lifestyle does not mean it will not suit yours! I think its absolutely gorgeous and that's why I was very tormented over this decision. I had to box it up so that I would not let myself try to rationalize keeping it lol. I also purchased two classic flaps recently so the financial impact was also a small factor.
Ok you have manage to rationalize the idea of not keeping it for yourself. hehe! It is okay, I am sure there will be other opportunity when you can get it someday with a better color that suits your lifestyle
