I am not in Europe, so my post’s
Specifics may not apply. But the sentiment should be the same. If I want something that requires a transfer within the US, my SA has to make quite an effort to make this happen. She has told me rhat the process can involve quite a few emails and sometimes horse trading if the sending store is reluctant to let the item go.
So, I would imagine that things might get awkward if an SA initiated the process and I went and bought it from another store. One is of course free to shop wherever they like. And, no one will say do not shop on a trip. But, if my SA said there is only one in the country, I would simply tell her : I don’t mind waiting if it can be transferred, but I do not want to miss out. So, in this case, should i buy it from the other store. And I would be guided by what she says.
Shopping should be easy and not involve stress or guilt. Another SA (brunello) once told me that why should she expend enormous efforts on a clients behalf if that client was not exclusive (and for Brunello, Milan could see our entire shopping history in NY, down to exact sizes, so the technology is there)
JMO and YMMV
