What do you think of the style and quality in general?
These are examples of models I tried on this weekend but can’t decide. I’m looking for something simple and not just the logo in rhinestones alone.
I know I’m asking for Chanel but without spending too much and without it looking too cheap.182FA6BF-D991-425A-8293-2FFF047BE831.png3EFE7453-BA86-4C30-8E74-5A15B5B7F404.png664C2A65-EBCE-45BA-982B-E77736FBE01A.png

If you're set on getting Chanel costume jewelry, I find the first photo with the pearl to be the most classic and versatile. They are also quite cute!
2nd photo is not bad but it looks a little big, as if it's pressing into your face, will you find that comfortable when wearing for long periods of time?
3rd photo is not to my tastes, it's simple but the colors make it more edgy.
But go with what you like!

Chanel costume jewelry has a history of being poor to moderate quality. There are people who have had terrible experiences and there are those who have had no issues.
I would not wear Chanel costume jewelry everyday, since they are not fine jewelry the coating will eventually wear off with time and crystals or pearls may fall off from constant wear, moisture, perfume use (if you like to use fragrance), etc.
I only have 2 pieces of Chanel costume jewelry, with one of them being earrings. Honestly I've only worn them a handful of times. I actually find the CC logos a little too loud and flashy for my current tastes and after switching over to fine jewelry, I never reached for them. (Costume jewelry just cannot compare to the craftsmanship and quality of fine jewelry. But that's just my opinion.)

I like the first pair of earrings best out of all three you posted, but like @lill_canele, im not fond of the overt branding. I used to wear Chanel costume jewelry years ago, and there is s a brooch, posted by @Comfortably Numb, that I adore, see her post #76 here:

i still wear some costume, some flashy pieces, which I mix with fine jewelry. I enjoy buying from Etsy. Stuff that coordinates with Chanel style and chanel RTW. This necklace is not chanel costume jewelry, but something unbranded. Not cheap, but not chanel prices either. Worn with a chanel jacket.

some chanel fashion jewelry is quite high quality (gripoix melted glass etc). https://dsfantiquejewelry.com/blogs/time-blog/the-mystery-of-gripoix-and-chanel-jewelry. But. I’m not sure about current chanel fashion jewelry. i believe mid century costume jewelry was also considerably more labor intensive and better quality.

I think there are specific threads of chanel fashion jewelry aficionados

but see, these interesting threads:

I like the third pair the best by far as they are a little more unique and I think they can be casual/dressed up.
I think the pearls might be more eveningwear but I do like them. I’n afraid I think the 2nd ones are too big for your ear as well and it would get annoying.

I would agree with the sentiment that Chanel costume jewellery seems to have a lot of variation in quality but if you are ok with that and have a good look at them before you buy them hopefully it’ll be alright.

You could also consider buying vintage Chanel costume jewellery as it’s already lasted 20 years so to speak.

After all, some costume jewellery can take a beating. I wear several brooches on my coats for months and they all look great.

Thank you and yes I look at vintage/second hand on vestiaire collective but don´t understand why they sell them more expensive than brand new?

Thank you so much for all these threads! I obviously missed them. And the pictures of the pieces are absolutely stunning!
I do not mind something loud as a statement piece. Also, I´m a fan of 20-30s / Art déco style.

Also, I saw so many choices I was interested in when looking online. And at the Copenhagen store the choice is limited, this was it...So I don´t know if it´s a general thing but maybe I´ll wait til I go to Paris, rue Cambon. I still cant bring myself to ordering online as I find things often disappoint me when I see them IRL.
Maybe I´ll just save and do a shopping spree there.

Also, do you know of vintage shops in Paris specializing in luxury?

Yes it’s true some of the second hand stock have fanciful prices.

Oh Copenhagen is wonderful but I can imagine they might have stock shortages in a lot of places. My sister told me they didn’t have a lot of choice at her branch recently. The flagship will probably have the best selection.

I have not shopped vintage in Paris for many years, (the reason being if you buy an item over a certain amount, I think it triggers customs fees and VAT, though I could be mistaken about that. I just ended up thinking it was simpler to stick to my home city for IRL purchases. years ago, I did buy some vintage Hermes jewelry from Japanese resellers, and during Covid I bought bags.

There was Didier ludot Little Black dress in Palais Royale, where I once almost bought a vintage chanel dress, but let me see if I can find a link to some others:

this one specifically mentions chunky vintage jewelry

I cannot speak French, but I used to imagine how fabulous it would be to go to the flea market and be able to unearth treasures (in my case, I collected vintage french perfume)

if you do the vintage route, please share your experiences!
