I just checked the inner linings of both bags . My jumbo ‘s inner lining is better than my medium cf . The medium one is not as snugly flushed but not as bad as that in your video .
I am guessing this is quite normal ?

I’ve just read your post, however all my flaps don’t have air bubble in the lining, my bags are all colored though, instead of black. I’m sorry I can’t be of help.Oh I'm really sorry! I think I was confused and commented on a different sector. I actually have a concern about the air bubble thing inside the bag and made a new post about it. Like all the SAs just say oh it's no problem whenever question about it. My SA said it will get flattened after I use it for a while like put my belongings inside..but like idk SA always just says good thingsThe YouTuber video
I’ve read enough posts on here to know that it happens to some flaps, and many TPFers would consider it a defect if the air bubble is big enough.
The thing is that they only let you exchange / return for once??! even if you don't even use it at all. She said she will reserve a brand new one for me but is it really a brand new one when they say it? Or do they just re-package and say brand new to customers..
In my experience, it doesn’t matter if a bag is “brand new” or not. It can still have defects. I wouldn’t worry about that. I honestly think you need to go into the boutique and check the bags out for yourself. It’s hard to tell from videos. Is this possible? I’ve had many classic flaps over the years and apart from the first one I had, all of them had slight air bubbles. By this I mean the lining wasn’t stuck down flush with the base of the bag. I wouldn’t really have referred to it as air bubbles. It never worried me. It’s inside the bag and no one will see it. I never saw it as a defect. It won’t affect the bag in any way. I’m more concerned about the outer appearance and the overall structure as that is what everyone sees.
If you do a search on this issue in purseforum, quite a few threads have discussed this over the years and some of them have flattened out after they used it. So this bubbling has been around for so long and chanel is still producing them like this !I think it’s how much of the bubble we can accept personally to consider it as a defect ?
“Brand new” could be a display or a returned bag, as all returned bags are supposed to be unused, but we all know some people return carefully used bags. Unless it has protective film on, with original packaging. But then again, even if the bag is brand new fresh out of the box, it could have bigger issues than the bag you have now. I guess it all depends on how much does it bug you.
Just an example: I’ve been waiting for a black square mini for quite some time, my SA texted me last week telling me one just came in and it is on hold for me. I asked her for pictures since my husband is going to pick it up for me, and he hasn’t the slightest clue on how to check the bag. The pictures look fine, and my husband said the bag looks good in person. When I unboxed it that night, I find that the bag bulges out a little on the left side while it does not on the right, and there is a scratch on the inside pocket, which was not in the pictures the SA sent me, so I assume it got scratched up somehow when the SA placed the chain fastener inside the pocket. At first the bulge kinda bugged me, but then I’ve made my peace with it, because after all, it is a beautiful bag.
think it looks good to me! I have seen some that is shinier than what u showed us, but honestly your best best is to get it and see it in person and see if it wows you. I didn’t like the flap I saw in person and my SA called other stores to source it, when I unboxed I gasped at the caviar quality. It was just stunning. Then I also went through 14+ bags and did not like any I saw as they were matte or asymmetrical. I just got another one from 29 series as well, it was on the matte but black side. I loved how edgy and rough the caviar was, a huge diff from my 27 series black and flatter shinier caviar. It’s more like how u would react to it. My advice would be to not obsess over it (like I have), If you love it keep it. If you hate it, return it and wait for a better one.
I think you shd have your BF return this bag and get one in person when we are no longer restricted by CV-19. Buying a bag shd make you happy and not give you so much stress.

I think the bag looks great! Caviar looks shiny, quilts are puffy, stitching looks good, flaps are even, except for not being able to feel it yourself, i'd say you can procure this with confidence
