Chanel Classic Flap - Small vs Medium vs Large sizes

How do you know what series yours is? I just bought a chevron small flap. Also what does the series number refer to? Year / month of production??
Series are the first two numbers in the serialcode and on the authenticity card
I believe it refers to the year the bag is been made. So 2021 is 31xxx, 2020 is 30xxx, 2019 29xxx and so on..

I have this same question! I first bought a medium black and thought it would be my only bag but I find I can't cross body so I am considering a jumbo. The reissues crossbody very well and the minis but mini doesn't hold enough. Ladies is the jumbo size good for someone who wants to crossbody a bigger bag?
I vote for medium beige claire. If you feel like the jumbo may be too big and heavy and the medium doesn't hold enough have you considered a 2.55? The 226 size is perfect. Fits more than a medium CF but not as big and heavy as the jumbo.
If I were in your shoes, I’d reach for the jumbo so I have two sizes covered. It’s better to have options when it comes to days you need to carry more but want a Chanel flap with you. I have several mediums and I sometimes wonder why I bought them when they all serve the same purpose, however, my wardrobe’s color palette is very monochrome. I’d go for a jumbo now then probably another medium on your next purchase. Good luck!
I'm 5'2, I thought jumbo wasn't for me. I got to try it on the store. Fell in love with it. I walked out the store with it. I definitely find jumbo carries more comfortablely than medium. I also don't find it heavy, but i also don't overstuffed my bag. I agree, the strap is long for crossbody. I bought strap shortener off Amazon and was able to adjust it to my liking.

I like a variety of sizes. I vote jumbo. I have every size Chanel bag except for maxi, and it gives great variety.
I'd try it on in store. I have done it but it's too uncomfortable and heavy crossbody. You can Google images and people have done it
Beige medium! I prefer the 2.55 reissue size that's bigger (226?) and lighter but fits as much. It's slightly smaller than the classic flap jumbo - that one also has a longer chain (it's all metal no leather) and you can wear it crossbody. classic flap jumbo is just too heavy to wear as a shoulder bag.

I have tried it on in the store and the reissue sits nice against your side
and the classic is a little boxer but looks a lot better! Is there another bag that can crossbody and enough room? The jumbo seemed to be the most popular 10 years ago and now it is the minis is it the price or is it actually the bag?
Hi! I think it's the trend of the minis. Price could have a factor to it though. It all comes back eventually. Right now is minis, later will be bigger bags. I think right now, the 90s are in trend. All the clothes I see trending are those that used to be popular when I was in middle school. Big bags are shortly after this . We shall see!! Haha umm boy bag crossbody and sits nicely. I have an old medium boy and it's the size of a m/l classic but you can was crossbody. I still love mine.
Really nice to see this, i am same height, only had minis and recently got jumbo caviar and i love ✨ its not that heavy . M/l fits same as mini rectangular so i wanted variety
so i wear mini rectangular caviar as crossbody and jumbo on shoulder or as crossbody adjusting strap.
I am 5’2” and size 4, with the covid weight gain, and I have two jumbos and 1 medium. I started with a mini then with the jumbos. I then bought a medium just this year with a few more minis. When I‘ve carried my medium casually, I think it is small because maybe I am so used to my jumbos. I usually carry the medium crossbody where it sits high since I don’t want to get color transfer, again in a casual setting. I wear my jumbos double strap since crossbody is too long. I don’t find them heavy at all. I have worn them all day without issue. I think I had moved on to the minis, just because logically I see the price as more justifiable, but yeah I have a harder time carrying my things because I have a huge bunch of keys (think building superintendent lol). When looking at other bags, I think I still gravitate toward the jumbo size. I guess it depends on what you want to use the bag for. I think I was like you having a black/gold, then wanted a lighter bag. I wanted a lighter bag and being the more popular size and not having one I bought the medium beige. But still, I think I want a black/silver, red jumbo, even a beige/silver jumbo. It depends on what you want to use the bag for, what your needs are. I think I would rather still use my black jumbo at night going out. For my lifestyle, minis are for travel or when I go somewhere like the park/dog park when I don’t want to mess with the double flap or when I go to places that are a crowded and want something more compact. If the medium is a good size for you, stick with the medium, but if you honestly need a bigger size get the jumbo. Think about your needs rather then rounding out your collection.
