I *think* it’s normal to see this happen but i wouldn’t expect to see it on a new purse from March.
You should be able to clean it with a leather cleaner.
This is not an ad but I saw this on IG the other day and thought of it when I saw your post. I also haven’t used this.
By the way, how did you resolve the darkening on your BA flap?
Oh wow! I saw a YouTube of a lady’s white classic flap with this issue. You should definitely reach out to Chanel.
Btw, Chanel fixed the darkening on my bag by refinishing and repainting the areas with the dark spots. When I inspected the bag at the store, it looked good. Just waiting to see it under sunlight.

I am having the same issue (dark marks/stains) with my BA. I purchased this bag in February 2022. it’s weird that it is only on one side… I can safely say that I only used it 5 times and never with dark colour clothing, and it’s always stored in the white felt fabric it came with. What should I do?

I went to the chanel store they didn’t want to send it to paris. They said wear and tear…. And that in paris they wouldn’t do anything about it.

I have a question about storing the BA. How do you do it? Do you store the chain inside of outside the bag? Do you stuff the bag with paper or a bag organizer? I noticed on another bag that the bag started losing shape because i stored it with organizer.

Yes I always put the chain inside in all the bags because the weight of it can dent the bag and stuffing is also a ++ it does help holding the shape.Hi ladies,

Hi! I wrap the chain and store it outside my bag. I do this because if I put it inside then part of the chain lays on the bag. I put the stuffing it came with back into the bag when I store it.Hi ladies,

I ordered an organizer for my BA from Etsy and was sent an “updated” shape (different from what was advertised) and I do not use it nor use it to store my BA.
Does anyone know when the next collection is coming out? I just chatted online with a rep who told me that there are no business affinities in the stores right now. I live about 3 hours away from the nearest Chanel boutique, so I'm wondering when I should plan my next trip.

I would definitely get a second opinion for Chanel to repair. I own several BA bags and have since 2017 and none of them have done this. I have a light beige, camel, light burgundy and had a light grey that I recently sold and not one of them had these marks. I have also used all of my bags much more than 5 times. This is not normal wear and tear within the first year IMO. I know this is an older post, but I wanted to share my experience having owned several light BA bags over the years.
