I just realized there’s no thread for Business Affinity in the Clubhouse. I want to share my dissapointment for the newest season not leather lined but fabric. I wanted to add another BA, I love this style, but would like leather lining like previous seasons. I wouldn’t mind fabric, it will also be lighter but I would love if the price is lower than the full leather. That’s just fair. Well..

I agree I was so excited about the colors this season, the coral and grey and was surprised when I tried on in store in Coral that it’s fabric lining..Disappointing..I’m still on the hunt for the grey but not as excited about it being no leather interior..[emoji53]

I guess I don’t know any better but the fabric lining didn’t really bother me. But once you have an all leather bag you might be able to discern a little better. Still delighted that I was able to get it. I promised myself that I would get only one handbag this year but I am already looking into adding a reissue How do you guys handle this Chanel “addiction”? Once I started looking into Chanel and Hermes all other brands disappeared. It is weird. I don’t have any desire to go into any other stores. Although I still appreciate Louis

Totally agree with you! Since the Chanel bug bit me (last year) I don’t care for any other brands. I just sold a LV and Gucci bag to purchase another Chanel. I haven’t even used my Coco handle yet, and already looking for another bag [emoji5]

Beside the fabric internal lining (but is made in France this current batch, past leather interior is made in Italy), anyone notice the grained leather of the new BA is matte instead of shiny? What do you think about it?

Yes, it is matte and I personally like it. In the beginning i was unsure since all we are used to seeing is the shiny leather but the bag grew on me and I really like how different it looks

I managed to secure one in medium black and I am still contemplating if I should get it.
Was quite disappointing with the new changes. Also am worried if there are more nice ones coming in in next month collection. Such a dilemma...

Yes I hear ya. I had something specific in mind when I decided to go for the bag. I was looking at the LV lock bb or the Pochette Metis but both became a huge disappointment after reading about all the issues. I wanted a small black crossbody bag to use daily and that was a good choice for me at the moment. I personally learned during this bag journey that if you don’t love the bag in its entirety just wait for something that will capture your heart.

I hope to have the time to wait too... I actually returned my BA backpack in Early Feb 2019 as it has some defect. Chanel couldn’t repair it and returned me in credit voucher that lasted only for 6 months. That would mean I must utilise the credit voucher by August. I just hope there will still be new BA design with shiny leather and full leather in the next few months... but also worried it may not...
Any one can advise more on the current BA... is matte better than shiny leather?

Ah that's what I noticed with the one I tried in store. Never seen the BA in person before that so was not blown away. What does everyone else think?

I got pink and ordered black medium....BA is the best Chanel bag for me.

You really have to see the BA in person to understand the versatility of it!

I really don't know why most people love and always compare the COCO Handle to the BA, but these 2 are very different bags with different vibes.

BA medium is really a grab and go bag and it's super easy to use! The handle is confident comfortable to be hand held and it fits decent amount of stuff and most importantly.. it will not sag like the CoCo.

I've seen my COCO sag and the thin handle is awful to be hand-held. I guess.. Hermes Kelly is the true answer to a good fit "coco".

I bought the medium black BA bag today (Feb 2019). It is a new version and is a Matt black. The improvements are that the leather is softer and more puffy and the bag does not fall over when you put it down, also the chain seems to twist less.. The bad thing is the lining is now canvas and not leather, even though it is the same price. This is poor as at Chanel prices EVERYTHING should be leather!! I think it is a Classic now and it is also very practical, so I don’t think I will regret having this bag. I couldn’t decide between the lovely new grey colour or the basic black, I bought black. They also had blue and orange and white available.
