They are equally used and loved. Black more so in colder months. Caramel more so in the warmer months and grey all seasons. But all can be used all seasons. Love them. šŸ’—

Hello. I’m looking for advice although I think I might know the answer…

I bought a medium 22 when it first came out. Traveled once with it and have used it to carry laptops etc. But I got frustrated with how the medium sat on me and the shape, especially once things were inside. This irritation made me think about the large which I had tried on at the same time - I liked how it fell on my body and the longer drop. The SA kindly let me exchange and I ended up getting the large once back in stock.

Since the exchange, I’ve used it once in 1.5 years. I still think it’s beautiful, and the size suits my body and style. But because the bag can’t withstand any weight, I’m at a loss. It really defeats the purpose of having a large bag.

My lack of use also comes from the possibility of me letting it go. But I’m not sure it’d resell well given low demand.

I’ve been regretting for some time now as I prefer bags that I can actually use. I feel like I’m stuck with a bag that’s just sitting in my closet.

Sigh, open to any views!

what do you mean by that?
My medium started peeling within two weeks. The peeling was a result of using it once to travel - two pouches (travel sized skin care, small pack of wet wipes, a couple of cables & one portable battery), wallet, Bose headphones, scarf - and about handful of times with a 13ā€ mac air, A5 notepad (no cover), pen case, one pouch and a flat wallet. Those pouches weren’t stuffed btw.

Overall I feel like I can’t use the capacity that it’s meant to offer, especially if it peeled with my most essential items.

Yeah, I kind of know what you mean. With a big bag, we tend to want to put more items inside, but if the chains cannot stand the weight and digs into your shoulders, it really defeats the purpose. Which is why when looking for a big bag, I always make sure the straps can withstand heavy weight (not in Chanel, but in other brands).

I've been eyeing the mini that just came out since last year. They are SO cute. I think I will use it sort of like my Chanel WOC, but with more room to spare (crossbody). But I'm not sure which color. Black is a no brainer, but the pinks are cute too. Man these things are pricey!

As in the leather started peeling? Eeks! I personally think most Chanel bags aren’t made for carrying a ton, like a laptop and other heavier items. The chain strap on most bags just doesn’t look comfortable for a fully loaded bag.

I love my small burgundy tweed 22…love it so much …I finally found a Chanel bag style that’s casual and practical for daily wear….have now sold my classic flap and Woc and reissue as I only wore them a handful of times over 10yrs …whereas I’ve been wearing my 22 non stop since I bought it!
Beautiful bag!! Do you find the small fits enough items? Or do you wish you had the medium?

Just like a lot of the members on the forum, I was not a fan of the 22 when it first came out. I’ve stayed away from Chanel for a couple of years now because other brands have captured my attention. But most recently, I could not stop looking at the 22 and once I tried it on, I absolutely needed to have it. This small beauty came home with me yesterday. Can’t wait to continue to wear her and hoping that the Chanel gods are kind that the wear and tear issues are minimal.

When the 22 first came out, I hated it. Now after seeing it on different girls, I decided to give it a try at my local store. Now, I cannot stop thinking about it. Just need to decide on color/ hardware combo and size. What a first world dilemma.
