Medium in ombré black and silver - thoughts?

Loving my new 22! Medium purple with rainbow hardware from the cruise collection.
Hi everyone! I'm new to 22, I just purchased my first 22 mini in pearlescent color. I think the official color name on the tag is S23 silver/gold, on the photo it is the one next to my Lady Dior. I was specifically looking for a white or off-white summer bag. I really loved all
white bags on the photo, especially the one with the rainbow hardware. It was a really tough choice! I decided to go with the pearl one because of how soft and squishy the pearlescent leather was (very different feel from other 22 bags I touched in non-pearlescent colors). Additionally, I thought this color would wear better vs. pure whites, showing less color transfer over time.
I am curious if anyone here has a 22 or any other model in this colorway, how does it wear? How's the leather holding up? I'm starting to get worried that this pearlescent leather is so soft to begin with that it'll start peeling or falling apart. I know I said earlier that softness was one of the reasons I chose this bag, but if it's not durable I'll better exchange and wait until the regular leather softens up with wear. Also, I'm curious how come the boutique still had two of these available, given that it's S23. Does it mean this leather type is not popular? The color is neutral, so I'm really curious why these are still available.

Just saw the purple monochrome one in person, and I'm in love with how matte the lather is (not a fan of caviar, so glad to see these). According to SA, the links are metal, so might come off with time?

My second Chanel 22 in khaki medium size which I bought preloved for an amazing price ….i used my burgundy tweed 22 with gold hw so much I wanted a leather version wth silver hw…leather is so thick and soft
