Celine Sunglasses - Post Any Pictures and Questions Here!

Now that spring is finally making an appearance here in Paris, I decided to invest in a pair of Celine sunglasses. I picked these up today. Hemmed and hawed but I'm pretty sure I made the right choice. The color is TDF!
Would love to see everyone else's Celine sunnies too.

I was thinking about making these my next purchase! I want black probably. Would you consider doing a mod pic? Haven't seen them on someone before.

Are Céline's sunnies hand-made? Also are they actually made by the company themselves or they manufacture them with a 3rd party? Eg. like with Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu, Gucci, Versace...etc?

Céline formed a licensing agreement with Safilo Group. I generally noticed that the prices of the newer range of sunnies are getting higher! I only have 1 new style from the new manufacturer and I personally am more attached to the ones made by the previous group (I can't recall the name for the life of me now EDIT: it is De Rigo). Céline has nice funky new styles but I just prefer the branding on the older ones (either NONE at all or the bold logo at one side)...

I'm literally incapable of taking a decent self-portrait but if I ever do get a good pic of me in the glasses I will post it.

I believe they are new, but strangely they cannot be found on celine.com so I can't be sure.

My pair from post #1 has no branding visible from the exterior, just the three dots at the temples.

Ok thanks! That's very helpful!
Also do you know if they're handmade? I don't mind the resin going into a machine to get molded and obviously metal parts need some machine assistance, but I prefer to have assembly, polishing, and all other finishing touches done by hand.

I purchased the large black Audrey's from otticanet on eBay. They dispatched them with tracking within a day. 4 weeks later, I still don't have them as FEDEX lost the package. Now I'm waiting for them to get another pair from Safilo .. and fingers crossed this time FedEx won't lose the package.

Yes I actually bought two pairs, one of them is quite loose so I had to get them adjusted but nonetheless they are nice.

and I had to pay about $30 of duties to fedex for each pair of them, they were shipping from Italy. :crybaby:

If you email Otticanet a copy of the fedex invoices within a month of purchase, they will gladly refund you for the duties!! I've done it a few times.

Oh so I guess that means they're real then if they are coming from Italy... Thats what i was concerned about
