I was able to find a few pairs of the small Audrey's at Neiman Marcus today. The SA told me they had some other styles as well (no large Audrey's however).

^^ Then I'm even more glad I purchased my classics before this happened since I really do love them (along with my xl Audrey's and cat eye ones). When they went on sale in December I had my SA pretty much purchase any pair that was left for me since they were only 120. dollars or so - less then Ray bans!

I might be wrong - but I heard that Chanel was made by Luxxotica - the same company that makes ray bans and essentially the lenses are exactly the same. You're really only paying for the Chanel name (in terms of lens quality etc) with Chanel since Luxxotica purchased them. Sounds like the same situation as the before and after Celine glasses. I have Chanel glasses and I have to say the frame material is no where NEAR as nice as my Celine pairs (and I have a lot of them...)

I wonder when the new production will start on these 2012 Celine's though? Are the new season of Audrey glasses still being made by Celine, or have they already been turned over to the other company?

I work for an optometry office and that is correct Chanel and RayBan as well as many other high end brands like D&G, Prada, Versace, Burberry, and Ferragamo are also under this parent company. Hopefully under Luxottica there won't be a decline in quality. I still need to find me a pair of the half cat eye sunnies.

I haven't been able to find them in the US. Celine, Bergdorf, NM, and Saks all told me they were sold out and not expecting more until April/May.

I'm glad to know I was correct about this. For the money I'd rather have Ray Bans instead of Chanel's (since they're the same lens) - I do love Celine's though... it's a weakness.

Am I wrong or are all the Tortoise Audrey's polarized? I have yet to come across a non-polarized Tortoise pair...

I'm also forever searching for the large Audreys in tort. seems impossible now, esp if they're changing the quality of them
