I ordered the originals in black polarized in Sept and sent them back last week. I also got the small Audreys in black polarized - I think about a month ago?
I was never really into sunglasses before - but I love Celines! I actually did like the originals, but I have a small face and they were overpowering. Even the small Audreys look pretty big on me, lol.

this was in today's wwd...i'm guessing celine has a new partnership with them, which could explain why the current styles are on sale:

Celine has inked a five-year licensing agreement for the production and worldwide distribution of its eyewear collections with Safilo Group. The styles will bow in January in Celine boutiques and selected points of sale globally.

“We are extremely pleased to announce a licensing agreement with a brand as exclusive as Celine,” said Roberto Vedovotto, chief executive officer of the Italian eyewear manufacturer. “This new collaboration allows us to add one of the most desirable names in international fashion to our portfolio, while strengthening our ties with the LVMH group.”

In addition to its own brands, which include Carrera, Safilo produces premium eyewear collections for brands such as Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Dior, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent and Max Mara.

Marco Gobbetti, ceo of Celine, affirmed that “thanks to Safilo’s experience and knowhow in the eyewear industry our collections will express the modern elegance and highest quality that distinguish all Celine’s products as unique and timeless icons."

I've been looking for the new sunglasses design/line in 2012 and haven't been able to see any photos yet - I guess this is why.

Does this mean I should try to snap on it and find my black classic pair as soon as possible?

ladies, I am returning a pair of black SC 1747 (small audrey?) later this afternoon to SF nordstrom.. just doesn't look right on me, kinda too small. For anyone one is looking for one, it'll be at the accessories dept..
