Celine at Isetan in Tokyo Last month, the French luxury fashion brand Celine decorated their Isetan windows in Tokyo with Sam's images and the customary elegance of their product and presentation design.
The feather is a detail from a photograph that appears in Sam's latest book 'Fashion Etcetera' (2009). The derriere-as-apple reflection first appeared in 'Photo-Graphics' (1980) and the black and white shot is from 'Cowboy Kate' (1964).
Following the success of the Isetan windows in Tokyo earlier this year, Celine have rolled out new window designs featuring Sam's photography in multiple countries in the Far East.
This time the image is from the famous black raincoat series in 'November Girl' published in 1967. November Girl was the final book in Sam's iconic figure photography trilogy from the sixties. The two preceding titles were 'Five Girls' and 'Cowboy Kate and other stories'.

Thank you again for updating SANDER! Great, great research.
Two days to Avenue Montaigne opening... I remember taking a photo of the construction site last September. Creating a Céline store seems to be a long process... Exciting to see the results!
I assume the Rue Francois store will stay in business even it is so close to the new one? Closing it would be such a shame as it´s such a unique C-boutique!
It might stay Celine as mentioned in a french article about the new store opening.I hope they keep the temporary store and use it for presentations or anything! It's so special. I connect more with that Céline aesthetic than the marble/stone/onyx things.

"Previous street address François 1er remains the property of LVMH, which has long dreamed to install the first flagship Dior Homme in Europe. But the group's projects have since evolved."
