i have only found the 54s in solstice stores. i have NEVER been able to find them at the sunglass hut, no matter how many locations i've dropped into (in several different states).

according to rayban, the sunglasses with the thin arms are the cats. i have never heard of them referred to as the wayfarer skinnies or anything of the sort anywhere except fashion forums and blogs, so maybe that's why people are having an issue finding them at B&M stores.

^^No there are lots of retail stores that call them "skinnies"

This isn't an ID, just a question! Sorry if it's already been answered... but, has anyone been able to find the 54mm in stores? Or are they really only available online? I'd love to try them on before purchasing, don't wanna go through the hassle of returning if I don't have to.

And Beauxgoris - The glasses in the reposted photos are definitely larger than your newest pic. They look perhaps just a size smaller.

^^I think you're right 50mm and 54mm.

Zappos has a lot of rayban styles. They even have the polarized skinnies, which I wish I bought now.

Just out of curiosity, do you all place an importance on polarized/non polarized?

^^ Ha! I just bought them there too. I love polarized sunglasses, they really cut out glare and lets you see things you didn't before. Once you have them you won't be able to wear non-polarized ones - especially for driving! Did you get the tort or black?

I don't know..... her new black ones do seem bigger:

I actually bought mine at my local Solstice store. I was saying i just saw the polarized version on Zappos and now was wishing I had bought those. i could return mine still, but i may just keep them and have my next pair of Raybans be polarized ones.

I got the black ones with the grayish fade lens. I almost want a pair in tortoise too....but that's silly, right??

^^Not at all. I have the cats 1000 in both tort and black (they're so different) - and the wayfarers in both black and tort! Some days are Kate Moss black wayfarer days (edgy current etc.) others are classic Audrey Hepburn breakfast at tiffany's days (classic timeless elegant ageless). See you really need BOTH!

^^^ :graucho: oh aren't you an enabler??
My next pair of ray bans will definitely be tortoise and polarized! I love how Ray bans have the "P" so you know they're polarized. It's funny cause we can tell that Rachel Bilson's are not.
