This is my honest opinion after daily use on and off for 5 years..
I would say if you are going for canvas mono or reverse they are casual, not dressy. The empreinte version does look dressier in my opinion, especially black. I do not use this bag for "dressy" use. But, I'm a casual gal so I don't dress up a lot. I have different bags for "dressy" use.
Pros: lightweight when loaded up with a compact wallet, keys, wet ones, phone. (IMHO) Casual and good for everyday use. I love the multiple compartments to organize everything, this is why I used it so much to be honest. All of the items you mentioned should fit just fine.
Cons: Heavy (but not unbearable) when loaded up with a long zippy wallet, mini PA, phone, wet wipes, and keys. It can be difficult to snap the metal closure, and the metal has lots of scratches from trying to close it. Cracks could occur on the canvas from opening/closing a lot. The vachetta has more wear especially if you get caught in a rainstorm. I didn't wrap my handles. Yes, the vachetta will darken over time with use, especially if it is exposed to weather and daily use.
I would maybe wrap the handles if you get it in mono (to protect the vachetta from water/oils). The edge coating of my strap is peeling also. I used to love this bag so much which is why I used it a lot. I believe the PM in mono looks the best brand new (after lots of use I don't think it looks as good imo).
I think if you purchase in mono definitely try to look at the bag in person. I would just make sure the vachetta and overall bag look satisfactory. Reverse might be better because it has treated leather. At the time, I just got whatever was available because I was on a waitlist. I should have held out for one that was better made to begin with. Of all my bags, I'm disappointed with how much this bag has worn overall compared to my other LV bags which got a lot of use as well. That's my honest opinion. All that being said, I would recommend it, just be careful if you get mono. Hope that helps.
