Small Trinity ring owners! How easily should I be able to roll the ring on/off?

I was only able to try one size and it fits a few fingers, but I feel like I can really easily roll it on/off. If I swing my hand around to see if the ring will fly off, it does seem like it'll get stuck at the knuckle and not fly off.

Not sure if I should try a size down but if I do, I'm pretty sure I can only wear on one finger. I know personal preference, but should I go with larger size so I can wear on different fingers?

I think it depends if your finger or knuckle is bigger. My fingers are meatier than the knuckle so it would roll right off without a snug fit. If you have bigger knuckles, you might be fine with it rolling a bit since your knuckle will stop it. I was gifted the trinity ring and had to exchange it for a smaller size b/c while it was very comfy it would literally roll right off!

I have two trinity rings (the classic and a discontinued all diamond one) and they fit my ring finger as you describe — loose but doesn’t roll past my knuckle. Personally, that’s the way I like the ring to fit because I like the movement. It can fit on the middle finger of my other hand but it’s tighter and lacks movement and because of that, I never wear it on my middle finger.

You should also take the seasons into account, if your fingers swell.

Good luck - I’ve been wearing different versions of trinity rings consistently for 35 years!

I just exchanged mine to fit exactly how you described yours fitting! Initially I tried on but didn’t buy a 55 which only fit my left index finger. This is the main finger i want to wear it on but i also wanted the option to wear it both middle and index fingers. I couldn’t get the 55 on past my knuckles on the other fingers, and even on my left index it was slightly snug when i curled my hand. due to the price increase i ordered online and got 57, which was too big, it slid off all 4 fingers when shaking my hand or it grabbed on something like when quickly pulling my hand out of a jacket pocket. The 56 is perfect, it definitely fits all 4 fingers and has some wiggle room, but i don’t feel like i have to subconsciously “hold on” to it. Obvi i know the exact sizes probably won’t translate but it was hard to describe without them and maybe it will help as a reference to the size range you’re considering.

I have a size 6 which is a 52 on the website. I have had for 12 years. I wear it on my right ring finger. We live in Texas (USA) and my hands swell and it can be hard to get off at times but feels like the perfect size when it isn't a million degrees. I have had 2 kids so weight has been up and down. My left ring finger is a smidge smaller than my right and it fits well there too. I think my engagement ring is 5 3/4. I love my ring, it is the first Christmas present my now husband ever bought me and I had no idea what the red box was!

@emo4488 @Lillianlm @melificent @volRN77 - Thank you for your replies! It definitely helps hearing from you beause you have worn and owned the ring.

It sounds like the size I tried on is the right one since I can easily roll it on/off two different fingers, but I'm wondering if I should also try one size up for when my fingers swell up in the summer. BUT, I'm hoping since I can easily roll it now (during cool autumn), it'd mean there's enough give for when its summer?

Another thing I noticed right away was how light the ring was. Is that normal? I didn't ask but assumed each ring is solid gold so it'd have some weight to it (even at 18k). Could be because I had just tried on a coco crush before visiting the boutique and even though it was the slim version, it's a band vs. 3 thin bands on the trinity?

I do a fling test - if I gesture wildly, will the ring fly off my finger I would typically wear the ring? If it flings in the afternoon it’s probably too big and I should size down. Mine is now a bit too big for my left hand ring finger. I now wear it but not woven together (the rings are offset) instead of laying flat or interwoven as it should be worn. I have the one with the diamonds on all three rings) so all the rings would look like a traditional version. It works for me.
