Hey fam! I wrote before that my Cartier small love was sturdy for a year... but for my second year of wear, it has come off twice on random occasions! Once in June, once recently. So about every 6 months or so. It's not like anything happens - no impact or anything. It just suddenly completely turned and the bracelet actually unclacked from the magnetic closure too (if you guys can understand...) I'm quite worried because I wear it daily and the first time I caught it cause I was looking at my wrist. Second time was recent and I was wearing a sweater so the sleeve caught it. Does this happen to you guys? Any pointers? Thanks!

Just happened once to me on one of my 4 sm and I was not sure if it had been my fault. Never happened since.

Yeah, it's happened to me twice and it really scares me :( And both times I'm not really doing anything. No crazy activity or anything, just walk and sit. LOL not sure how it can happen. I always stare at my screw to make sure its in the proper place and not unlocked too :\

Scary! Mine came off once but I think it was because i didn’t lock it. Do you remove yours often? Maybe the lock is loose and moves out of position on its own?I don’t believe it is magnetic, btw.

nope i keep it on and never remove it except maybe once in a long long while for a cleaning. it's somewhat magnetic? like if the screw unloosens it doesnt automatically come apart... that's what i mean. there's still something holding it together until you give it a pull.

Yes, i know what you mean but I think it’s tension rather than magnetism. Gold is not magnetic. Maybe there’s more give over time and it becomes easier for the screw to turn, therefore unlocking. Wise to take it to the boutique to have it checked. One thought is to use purple (low strength) Locktite if you plan not to remove it. I don’t do this but some do.

glad for you! happened twice for me already... both while nothing was going on. so im a bit scared.

Make sure your bracelet is insured! Normal renters/homeowners insurance policies have limits for jewelry, so your bracelet might not be covered if you haven't specifically listed it with your insurer! The cost should be minimal for insurance that covers full replacement cost if the piece is lost or stolen.
