I love being able to go back and get info! :cutesy:
All in all, the increases haven't been horrific over 3 years imo.

For reference!

SM JUC with Diamond bracelet and SM love bracelet with 6 diamonds did increase. By $295/$300 USD

The medium and classic love bracelets did not increase.

I'm in US
Not sure which gold you're referring to... small YG JUC with diamonds actually went up $250, from $5050 to $5300

checked a few real quick...

YG reg Love with diamonds did not change
Small WG pave Love ring $5,250 went to $5400
RG medium Clash necklace did not change
Clash RG medium bracelet $10,200 did not change
WG reg Love bracelet $7,900 SAME TODAY, no change since at least 2023

Honestly Cartier price increases are so minimal compared to other brands.

Tariff's aside, this happens in every "Price Increase" thread in every forum, every few months. A PI rumor/news pops up and everyone reports what they've heard. We know nothing until it happens, the news prior, is all over the place... as indicated by this thread lol
Sometimes it's just rumor and never transpires, sometimes it's worse than reported, sometimes better! Who knows!?
Agree. Richmont specifically reported that it lobbied against US tariffs (many companies did bc of concern about dwindling sales and to assure shareholders). However, Cartier specifically stated to media that it was attempting to hold its price increases down (absorb partial cost).

This may be good marketing (unlike Hermes CEO who stated bluntly that all increased tariff cost would be for the US clients). But, it’s also bc Cartier is more reliant on the US market since the Chinese market has not yet recovered.

That’s not a political statement as far as I can see, but rather a factual one. Cartier did state somewhere — though I cannot find the article— that some prices may come down eventually. It is the only premier company to make that statement that I have read about. It makes me more likely to buy Cartier (than Hermes) bc I think the former is not trying to take total advantage of the tariff situation :)

ETA: for Cartier jewelry whose components are gold from Thailand; or gemstones from all over the world, it will become a significant problem to determine tariff cost. which is why I’m hopeful this issue will be dropped.

Years ago, brands did not mark up select current inventory due to price increases. I’ve read posts stating that this should be the case with respect to these increases. But, historically, when Cartier has failed to do so (for example with watch discounts many years ago), it has done serious damage to its brand prestige.

From what I can see from the UK website, it was largely watches that were affected (e.g bangle Baignoire was £12400, now £13200). Jewellery less so (e.g Brushed and polished 4 diamond Love unchanged).

No increases in UK as far as I can tell.
Of the things I checked, the small, medium and regular Love didn't change. Neither did the small or regular JUC. The only thing I did notice was a £20 increase on the Trinity cord bracelet! I didn't check watches however. I'm surprised because the small JUC has definitely not changed in price since prior to May 2023 in the UK and yet I'm pretty sure it has increased this time in France.
