Cartier price increase thread *please include your location*

I'm actually waiting until December to purchase what I have on my wishlist. It took me a while to come to terms with it but it's crazy that we will pay more simply for the store experience vs a phone order. We'll be in Vegas for Christmas and New Year's and the Cartier boutiques are open on Christmas Day in Vegas and that makes it so special to me to actually be able to purchase on Christmas Day and enjoy the store experience as well. It's not the worst price increase ever but it definitely stinks.

Definitely. I want to buy my jewelry pieces because of a special time/occasion and not because of a price increase.

Already happened on the AUS Cartier website. The JUC ring I had my eye on went from $3,400 to $3,600. Up $200.

I agree that I want to buy on my terms. I'm putting money aside like a responsible adult, and I'm not ready to buy that ring yet.

My SA from the San Jose location texted me telling me that a price increase is confirmed for 10/1! Definitely a motivation to pick up any last minute items!

That’s about a 5.9% increase. Maybe it’s 4-6% and varies on region? Love seeing everyone’s resolve! You all inspire me and have much more control than the Chanel thread (but don’t tell them i said that! )

My Canadian SA just confirmed Oct1 increase as well. I was planning on a juc in Oct, I will order a few days earlier.

I specifically asked my SA in Vegas if the diamond pieces will be increased as well and she said yes everything is affected.

Yup. I was going to be super-disciplined and not buy anymore luxury until I hit more financial milestones...but I booked an appointment to buy a Love ring because I've been wanting it anyway and had been reflecting on it for about a year at this point.

They already had some updated price tags on many items.

The ~5% increase is not that steep, but curbing travel this year and who knows until when...a few nice-to-haves will make it easier to hunker down.
