Thank you all! I agree that the gold Alhambra is probably the best value. I worry though that because the metal is more pronounced it will be harder to mix with other metals?
So I was able to try on a ton of pieces from VCA and the Dior Rose des Vents necklace (I liked the lapis the best). I walked into Cartier to look at the Amulette, and in person they reminded me of Pokeballs from Pokémon, so I crossed that off the list without even trying. Would love to get your thoughts! Excuse the quality of the pics - was snapping quickly so as not to keep the SA waiting since I knew I wasn’t purchasing that day.

My favorites are the same as the previous poster - YG MOP and WG frivole. I went in to buy the plain YG Alhambra pendant but just didn’t like how it looked on me in person; I ended up with YG MOP and like how it shines. Considering the WG frivole for a future purchase! Have fun deciding

Thank you! My concern about the MOP is that it has been knocked off so many times that no one would know it’s real. I really liked the frivole - it wasn’t even on my radar before so I’m glad the SA brought it out for me. They also had it in yellow gold with the single diamond in the middle, but I think I prefer the white gold without the pavé.
I think I’m between the rose des Vents and the mini frivole! I know they’re quite different but they both make my heart sing.
Yes, the Amulette. I saw it in photos and really did not like it. When I saw it in person, it is a sweet piece!

That's funny - I feel like I had the opposite reaction. I really liked the Amulette in pictures but not as much when I saw it in person.

I think the Rose des Vents and the mini Frivole in WG are my favorites, even though they are so different,. I may end up purchasing both over the course of the next year or so, so it's just a matter of what I want to get first!
I actually ended up purchasing the mini frivole in yellow gold from VCA a couple of months ago! Decided I liked it better than the white gold on me. Shortly thereafter I ended up purchasing the limited edition 2019 holiday pendant from VCA to scratch my itch for an Alhambra that wasn't one that everyone had. I still do love the rose des vents though! Have not written it off.
I love how you have the two pieces layered - they complement each other perfectly! Did you have to get an extender on the holiday pendant, or are you able to achieve the layered look with how the necklaces come out-of-box?

Hi! I just wanted to ask you; do you think the Rose Des Vents proportion and size-wise would work well stacked underneath a VCA Alhambra pendant? I’ve been saving for the new VCA guilloche for ages but now my husband has vetoed it and I’m not allowed to buy it (so disappointed ) so I’ve turned my attention to the MOP RdV ( I have the MOP and onyx Alhambra’s) and would wear it low, almost like a medallion. Having never seen it in real life my only concern is that it’s too dainty and wouldn’t be as thick as the Alhambra’s. The RdV collection is not on my husband’s radar so he won’t know what it is anyway and I think they are beautiful and a good price point so it’s a good compromise in my eyes so I’d love to place an order! But just wanted to see what you thought as the lapis one looks lovely on you. Please see attached picture of my current stack - the RdV would go below as I’ve badly edited it! Thanks in advance!
