Although I LOVE all things VCA, I voted for the LOVE so you could layer it. My beat friend bought the Perlee in RG and it is gorgeous but looks best on it's own. It's a bit more dressy IMO. Both are on my wish list.

oh my, I really like that version of the perlee, with the repeating flowers instead of the logo! but if you're looking for a bracelet you never have to take off, probably LOVE is your best bet.

I prefer this version of the Perlee as well. The other one is too much logo. My vote is for the Cartier.

I LOVEEEE the VCA perlee with diamond clover motif, but unfortunately it is way out of my price range (I think it's 20k??) if I win the lottery in the next few days, that will be THE bracelet I will get!!! And yes, I did see the lovely kat99's thread and it was super helpful, yet did nothing to help my decision making since the perlee bracelets are vastly different from one another. . .
I agree that the LOVE bracelet will be on my mind if I get the perlee. . .and I love everyone's comments about how you can dress it up, dress it down, layer it with some diamond bangles (a la sprinkles&bling!)
or wear alone as a casual piece.
I am DEFINITELY leaning towards the LOVE right now. . .but who knows what will happen when I go to the boutique this weekend? I am going to try on both and really take my time and decide. I hate the hassle and embarrassment of returning things!

Yes! The jewelry reference forum is a wonderful place to find inspiration! Many of the lovely ladies here have a great sense of fashion and they come up with creative combos to layer pieces I never dreamed of before. Poor DF. . .all this inspiration comes at a cost. . .haha (though to be fair I am going to be treating myself to the LOVE this time. He's done enough to get me my beautiful soleste!)
OMG yeah see, THIS perlee is STUNNING!!! If it was between the diamond studded LOVE and THIS perlee I'd say perlee hand down!

But, I feel like personally I'd never get sick of the LOVE but MIGHT get sick of the perlee? I agree it's so pretty with the beading! But maybe what makes it different is what would make it not as classic later on? I don't know ... maybe that's just me! LOVE has been around for SO long - they style is so classic French/American... time tested and yet really quite rare to find still because of the price point... it looks amazing with cocktail dresses AND with jeans and a white tee... whereas the perlee was just released and almost seems a bit more trendy for some reason? Not as versatile I don't think... I mean I feel like I'd play tennis in my Cartier Love but not in a perlee, KWIM? I love that it's been around since the 70's... When I went into VCA I thought perlee was gorgeous but wasn't what made my heart sing... I mean to me neither of them are all that original or outstanding style wise, it's almost the simplicity and luxury of their minimalism and materials that attracts me to them! (and yes perlee only comes in RG/WG for some reason!) But I just feel like the LOVE is IT.
Also not a fan of written branding - I own lots of Tiffany's but nothing that SAYS "Tiffany's" all over it! I feel like you're the same way! I love that my LOVE is engraved on the inside with something personal and that's all. So yeah, that KIND of bugs me a teeny bit? I love the beaded look but not enough to trade that...
I'm in a big city in my mid 30's and I have NO friends with the LOVE! So for me at least, I don't feel like it's all that popular or recognizable... that's one of the reasons I loved the alhambra line too - no one I know has one!

Yeah. I told DF that fellow tpfers will be outraged! I am shocked at another increase. The last one was only 5% but it translated to a $550 increase. New bracelet is just a little something
but plan to post a reveal with the love...

When is the increase, July 1st?? Do you know how much prices are going to go up?
Sorry I did not ask for the date. She just said July. It could be the same date as the VCA increase since both companies are under the same parent company. So maybe Cartier is also updating their systems? Anyway, I did, however, inquire about the increase and the SA told me last time it was 5% (though I think she is misinformed because the love bracelet went up from 4300-4850 which is a 12% increase) and says it might be around 5% as well. But I would guess it could be anywhere from 5-12%.
Okay, I'm going to post some pics. I am really excited because it's my first VCA piece. AND since I was debating between both brands, I am able to get both and before the price increases! I got the sweets bracelet in yg and mop. It is really quite dainty as you can see from the pic. After purchasing the bracelet (I am in
with VCA customer service!!!), I went to Cartier and tried the love bracelet on with the sweet and it was quite adorable. I can't wait to get the love next week!!
