Honestly. I love both and thought about both. I went with the Cartier as it was more sleek looking and I can layer more with it and it doesn't look OTT.
The Perlee should stand alone, IMO. The Love looks great with anything you put with it. I just got a VCA onyx and it looks awesome layered with the Cartier, I can wear any bangle and it fits in nicely.
If you are planing on wearing this alone, the Perlee makes a great statement.
I agree. I think the perlee would be perfect on its own (though at the boutique the SA let me stack this one and the diamond one and it was crazy beautiful!). It is very ornate but not in a gaudy way. I saw your onyx bracelet layered with your Love in the VCA thread and it is BEAUTIFUL! I think in the future, I want to layer the sweets with my Love. . .
Such a difficult decision because I love BOTH. If you would get one, I say get the VCA; however, LOVE bracelets IMO look great stacking up..

I don't know if I would get two LOVEs to stack (though that doesn't mean it won't happen. . .) but I agree with sjunky that it would be great to layer with other bracelets, esp the VCA motifs or kbella's Hermes collier bracelet. . .and I have seen clic clacs layered as well and it looks beautiful!
I personally like the Cartier, but I'm a guy and have always liked clean looks moreso than "fancy" styling.
Have you tried to contact Van Cleef & Arpels about getting the bracelet in yellow gold? Do they do special/custom orders?

I have not asked VCA if they will custom make it in yg, but when I mentioned my disappointment that they did not come in yg to the SA, she didn't mention any alternatives to me. . .so I just assumed that door was closed. But I will ask this weekend when I go. . .I hope to decide soon!!
No offense to anyone, but I'm pretty tired of the Cartier Love bracelet. I see them everywhere, it seems.
I'd go with VC&A. Classic and you can still wear it when you're 80 years old.
Haha, that's one of the reasons why I was drawn to the Perlee - I thought it was something different and unique. But in all honesty, like lanasyogamama and faith2 have said. . not many people I know outside of tPF have the LOVE bracelet. Many of my friends in their early-mid twenties who know what it is and want it can't afford it! It is going to be one of the priciest pieces of jewelry I own, besides my watch and e-ring! But I agree that the Perlee is really beautiful and classic. I just am not sure about the VCA engraving. . .otherwise it might be all in VCA's favor!

This is a tough choice. I just love VCA pieces, and would pick VCA more over Cartier in general. But If you want an everyday piece that can be worn day in and day out, the Love bracelet is a better choice imo. It really is such a comfortable piece. For me, Perlee just won't be as comfortable. I am not a bracelet person at all, and the fact I can wear the Love bracelet everyday says a ton.
Wow, that means a lot to me! I actually am not a bangle person, but I love the fact that it is oval shaped so it doesn't bang around as much as circle bracelets do. It is also more fitted which I also like. If I get the Perlee, I plan on wearing it like the LOVE and keeping it on my arm 24/7 because the idea of wearing a piece like it's an extension of your own body seems really appealing to me. I am definitely leaning towards the LOVE because its whole concept and use is to be worn 24/7 while the Perlee is not. . .
I have both the Love and the Perlee and I say the Perlee! I had the same exact Love you want (the YG) but it was really annoying for me as I like to take off my jewelry and quite honestly everybody has it....now I have the open cuff.
The Perlee is more versatile than the Love in that you can take it off as you said - also it's an oval shape which I find to be more comfortable as it's closer to the natural shape of your wrist. Either way, you cannot go wrong though
Kat! You have one of the most covetable collections of jewelry on this forum! I saw your perlee in the VCA thread and my jaw dropped! I actually tried yours on in addition to the plain rg in the boutique and I of course loved yours more! if I could afford it, there would be no question, I would be getting the perlee, but I am just not sure about the VCA inscription on the plain. I know you'd have to be really close to read the engraving, but it's kind of a turn off. But I just LOVE the feminine design and the fact that scratches won't show on it as much as it will on the LOVE. As you can tell, I am still really split on which bangle to pick!
Thank you again EVERYONE for all your input, advice, and honesty. I plan on going to the boutiques later this week to try on both. I am hoping that once I try them on (again), everything will become crystal clear, the stars will align, and I will know which bracelet to pick.
I must humbly disagree; my collection is nowhere near, close but far from what you've amassed!! Hehe, but I agree that there are MANY many lucky ladies on this forum! I am leaning towards the Cartier now! I was looking at pictures and I agree with catabie that stacking at least two love bracelets makes for an amazing and beautiful look and that the perlee is a perfect stand alone piece. I think Cartier might fit my needs more. . .I want something more casual that I can wear everyday!
