Selfridges were not good (see previous thread when I mentioned that) I purchased an item for my sister and was not even given a box NOR the certificate stamped that the item was white gold or platinum. I mentioned this when I went into the flagship store and the older gentleman gave me an new box and asked me to get the item out of my bag (it was not even christmas gift wrapped) and they did it all for me, he was very apologetic!

I am now on the hunt for a Rolex Datejust as I love my Cartier Tanks however, sometimes when running around, gym etc, you want a bracelet watch so thought the datejust would be a good idea? Do you have one?

Yes got a 36mm SS datejust with pink flower dial, very girly lol, I love, love, love Rolex's but I also own a few Cartiers which I love just as much, I wear the Rolex to the gym & run in it & no problems, I too have got a SS Tank mid size, I would love a yg watch, Rolex or Cartier, I actually sold my mid size Rolex TT yachtmaster to buy my yg love bangle, DH got me the datejust for my 40th but I'd always wanted a love bangle & it was the only way I could get one now otherwise I would of had to of waited until my next birthday & I'm too impatient lol.

I went with white gold to match better with white gold wedding set and stainless steel wrist watch.

Rose was a close second choice, as it is really lovely.

Deciding on the colour of your love bracelet...a nice problem to have. :flowers:

I decided to wait on the yellow gold because of my wedding set being yellow gold. I am planning on wearing it on my left hand. I just can't seem to wear a watch on my left hand (maybe because I am left handed)?? Seeing some of the rose gold pictures is tough because they are beautiful.

Well the Trinity comes with the standard black silk cord and I then mentioned I wanted the colour changed, that was when they came out with a board of 20 to choose from. The guy who served me in the store (the flagship on Bond Street opposite Ralph Lauren" said come back as often as you like and change the cord no charge - which I thought was very nice.

Thanks for the compliment Designerdiva40, at the moment I do feel like I am dripping in Cartier!

What a lovely husband you have - do you have any ideas on the colour of cord?

I had quite the different experience!
I went into my nearest cartier (in san francisco) and purchased the trinity rings on the black cord. I asked to have a red cord instead, and it was changed for me, but the SA mentioned that he was a bit unsure of how to tie the knots.
I was wearing it for acouple of days, and maybe it was because I wore it in the shower and it got wet everyday, but after a few days it started to unravel!
When I bring in the love bracelet to be polished and authenticated, I am also going to bring that in to be properly tied.
Do you wear yours everyday? When you bathe, do you take it off? Maybe that was the problem, I don't know.

my husband got my first love bangle in plain rg. i fell so deeply in love with it, i got myself a wg full diamond just few months after. they go beautifully well together though i don't wear them on same wrist. i got them in different sizes ::: rg in 18 and wg in 17. my true size is definitely 17.5 thats why. i wear rg on my right, and wg on my left. i am also a luxury watch collector, but hermes double leather band (that looong leather band) wg-mop watch goes best with my wg love. since the band wraps around my wrist twice, in between my love and watch is another leather band that cushions and no clanking.

if you don't compare the rg and yg bracelets side by side, you will hardly notice the difference. although there is a slight rosy hue to the rg it is quite difficult to distinguish it from yg. i say try both and see which suits your skin tone the best. i went home with a rg one cuz it melded well with my skin tone and looked more "youthful" to me.

i got mine about 6 months ago and the sa allowed me to try on the actual bracelets. they were very careful about putting them on and taking them off my wrist. i'm sure they will let you try on them on. good luck.

Here is a picture of the rose gold from me. it's not the best representation in color i guess it looks more like YG here but if you compare them side by side. YG looks VERY yellow and rose gold just looks more flesh toned gold.

Oh these are so pretty! Now I think I want RG!!! I do find the yellow VERY yellow but have never seen the RG in real life - can't wait to see!

I think there's a huge difference in the colors of the yellow and rose gold. I do not like the look of yellow gold worn with rose gold, although rose gold looks very pretty next to white gold or platinum. So, I would get whichever you love, keeping in mind what else you will be wearing with it (not necessarily on the same wrist, but your other jewelry).

Yes that's the one, I think it's good that you can have the cord changed free of charge at Cartier, I remember you saying in an earlier post that you was thinking of getting a love bangle, I'm pleased you got it & it looks good with your watch, can't wait to see a pic, it's good to see what it looks like on someone else as it's hard to tell on yourself, I tried it on when DH picked his Wg love ring up, he had it polished & it looked like new. DH is buying it for me for valentines.

You see, that is what is odd, I think it is SO annoying when some Cartier shops charge for certain things, and some do not!

Laurayuki - I love your Rose Gold bangle it looks great!

I understand that it is such a difficult decision to make, however, if you have to choose the bangle without seeing it, and you do not have a preference in colour to start with I would go for one that suits your skin tone.

I am a pale British skin and I always thought that white gold would look great on me. I tried it on and even though it was stunning there was something niggling at me so I tried on the Yellow Gold. Even with my skin tone, it did not look harsh (which I thought it would if not on an olive toned skin) it actually warmed my skin up.

To be honest, I do not mind mixing metals, however, I am a guy and therefore do not have the choice of jewellery that women do!

I would go for the one that you feel suits you at the moment and then take it from there, I think I found the hardest thing is taking the plunge in the first place after that it all becomes a lot easier!

Picture attached!

And forgot to mention the watch is Rose Gold, so you can see how soft the colour is!
they look great i wear the white gold one with the santos on a green strap
