Cartier Love Bracelet Sizing Thread!

A tight love bracelet is the worst and most uncomfortable thing ever! Make sure you get the right size. I initially had a size 16 and ended up selling it because after some time it hurt my wrist. Also if you ever plan on stacking multiple bracelets you need to size up. I went up to the 17 and 16 in JUC. I also wear an Dinh Van bracelet so with 3 daily I’m so happy I sized up.
Would you mind sharing your wrist size please?

I’m experiencing a sizing dilemma. I recently bought a 17 and was thinking it was too small. Yesterday I went back in to the boutique to try on an 18 and ready to pay to have it reproduced. My SA thought that the 18 was too big for me. She said this was definitely a case of me needing a half size (17.5). She also said that the 17 fits the way that it was meant to fit. It fits great on my wrist, but I don’t like bow it looks when it gets stuck at the part where my wrist meets my arm. She suggested that I wear the 17 for a while to see if I get used to it. What do you guys think?

IMO it's too small. My wrist is about 15.9 cm so I ordered the 17. It was snug fit and kept catching on my protruding wrist bone. Drove me crazy so I finally sold it. I got the cuff, which I love. When I get another full bracelet I'll get the 18. If you're having it custom made get the exact size you want! Some things to keep in mind are if you will be stacking and fluctuations due to heat.

Thank you for your input! I think you are right. I think it's too small. I wish I could get it made to a 17.5 but I was told that's not possible at the moment... I guess I should decide if I want to sell or pay to have it reproduced. I do love the look of the bracelet. Maybe a cuff would be better. I did not try on a cuff either! I really should have tried more options. I was just really set on the love bracelet. I just wonder why my SA would talk me out of it when I was prepared to pay the 30%...

It’s too small. But here’s the problem, this is a heavy bracelet so if you size up it’s going to be moving around a lot and that can also be uncomfortable to have it sliding around on the wrist. It also makes it more likely to fall off. I had the same dilemma with the full size love. I actually prefer the small size for this reason and also because the hinge mechanism is more secure. I actually lost my full size love on a boat trip, the screws are not secure! 😭

Yes my SA mentioned the issue with moving around. It also very easily turned on my wrist. She said that could cause damage to the screws as well if it rotates while I'm doing something and then I hit it wrong. I hate to think that the classic is not a good fit for me (especially after buying it)!! I never really wanted the small version. I didn't try that one on, either. Ugh. Now I guess I have a decision to make. I don't know if I want the hassle of trying to sell such an expensive item. But I am wondering if I should sell it and try to get something else. I know others have successfully done that. I guess I should do some research.

Thank you!

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this! It’s definitely trial and error. I started with the small model size in a 16 which after a while became too uncomfortable so I sold it and got a 17. Then later I got the classic size to stack and ended up loosing it 🙈 I definitely recommend getting your pieces insured so if anything ever happens you’re covered. Once you do find the right size and model I’m sure you’ll love it and be very happy 😊
You should go to the store and try them all on! And if you do try to sell the one you have, checkout the RealReal. They do all the work for you so there’s no hassle.

Hi! I had the same dilemma- started in a 15 (didn’t catch at wrist but the screws would hurt) and sized up to a 16. It is very lose and I can wear sideways. But, I wear it wedged up my arm about 1/3 ALL the time so it stays put. I think if it sat at my wrist I would bang it up all the time. Instead it feels out of the way. Maybe try it like that at the store? Im a few years in and not big dings. So I’m on team size up! Also on team half size!

Thank you. I think I will have to make another trip back to the boutique. I'm sure my SA will think I'm crazy! I did tell her that I would try to continue wearing the smaller size. The more I wear it the more I hate it. :(

Thank you for this input. I am thinking I should have paid to have it sized up. I do love the classic love. I just don't think it's in the right size. As I was saying above I'm sure my SA will think I'm crazy. We agreed that I would try out this size a little longer. It's only been a day and I'm already regretting it! I have to make time to set up another trip to the boutique.

If you “hate it” I think you have your answer. Your SA will not think you’re crazy, as plenty of people take their time deciding, especially with a pricy purchase. I’d try of the next size and walk around the boutique for awhile.

Good luck!
